On Sunday our mountain flower took us around her home areas. Finally to Šebrelje, first time. What a beautiful plateau, as Otiv presented it with his wonderful photos and post from 2017! We expected something shorter, but mistake, the hike was quite extensive. From Šebrelje we went towards Jagršče, but not on the usual path, partly towards the waterfall, across water, past a lonely farm. I think even locals probably don't know these paths...we have such a guide! We reached the ruins of a church over 500 years old in Jagršče, crazy views. We viewed the church of St. Ursula and continued towards Krnice. We saw three homesteads, including our hostess's. But continued towards Idrijske Krnice, Rupi. We saw where the school used to be, what path the schoolkids walked daily! And the new church, and an eco-farm where we bought some local goodies. The girls praised the homemade cheese a lot, the salami is surely good too, I gave it all away. Locals hardworking, industrious, no complaining, work and results visible everywhere. Village youth greets, joy to meet them...Ahead was another peak, Vrhovec or Lokvarski vrh, exceptionally scenic. We saw from Matajur, Krn, Kanjavec, tip of Triglav. And of course Rodica, Črna prst, Kojca. Main Porezen and Blegoš, also Ratitovec, Košuta and towards Velika planina. Already before also Snežnik...Still visit to a relative who served us homemade goodies, from Šebrelj chestnut, to homemade potica and roll...really super. Just a quick hop to the church of St. Ivan, views and goodbye. Divje babe next time...not everything, 21 km and 1100m elevation is plenty with all the beauties of this day.
