When does it pay to buy gear?

Hi,
those who have more experience and also follow the situation in stores more... When is the best time-wise to buy gear? So, when do stores have the biggest discounts? Are there usually any discounts before the season? Or do you have to wait for off-season discounts? Would it be smart to buy right now?
As for stores, I'm mainly looking at Extremevital and Actionmamo, because they have the most gear.

Come on, stop whining.  If you don't know how to answer the question, just hold back from writing. 8 months no new topic posted in touring skiing. Thank God someone writes something so the forum doesn't completely die.
First of all this is a forum for debate about touring skiing. For current conditions people can ask in topics by individual mountain groups. If you look at this "touring skiing" forum you'll notice it's full of gear topics, which is correct!
This forum wouldn't hurt from as many diverse topics as possible. Because of thinking like you pensioners have up here, this forum has such low participation and is becoming practically useless. Regards

anze1992, don't drop out. Hribi.net is a bit strangely designed, so new posts show up under Forum - conditions, even though they're not posted there. That's why on the front page it looks like you posted under "Conditions". Don't blame the "pensioners", they're not at fault if it's set up so stupidly.
I don't get what the editors wanted to achieve with this, but that's how it is.

Exactly Samo. That's why I find it ironic that someone accuses me of not being able to handle web browsing better. I think they need to figure it out better themselves. Especially since judging by their posts, they hang around here practically every day and should already know how the forum works and where what belongs. And thanks for the answer.

Otherwise, wherever you buy, try to "haggle", a word is not a horse. Often you can negotiate a more or less concrete discount.

In Iglu it's worth it in March and September, then you have a whole month bigger discount - depending on how much you spent before. If not, find a neighbor who has 24%.
