Hi! I'm 35 years old and I'm interested in which mountaineering club to join, I want company for hikes, maybe people my age(approx.), so we can arrange also some independent trips. I like if transport is organized which PD Matica almost never has. What do you say? Thanks!

You can join hikes from other PDs too.

You can join our PD MERCATOR! We have 17 trips a year and we have fun too! I'm sending you the name of our president and you can inquire more! Karmen Čeh tel. 01 560 34 78 and email karmen.ceh@mercator.si! LP MIRAN

As a member of PD Škofja Loka I can invite you to our club, if you're near Škofja Loka of course. You can open PD Škofja Loka and see how many and where trips are planned. We cover several sections too. Transport, if enough registered, is always organized. Already on July 4th two-day Dolomites - something wonderful. A week ago two-day tour on Velebit - it was fantastic. Only weather can cross plans. L.P.

Sparkica, I'd advise you like this. On the web find all mountaineering clubs near you, (most have their website), then check lists of their trips and hikes and if you like one sign up, no need to be PD member for that. So you can join trips at several PD and where you'll meet more kindred spirits and feel that right atmosphere and energy, stay there and join. That's what I did six years ago when I was in same dilemma as you. In the club I met many same age, enjoyed hikes with them and new acquaintances formed. Also devoted much free time to club, so now I'm already UO member PD (won't name it on purpose), but if you want on ZS, or if something specific interests you, let me know ?? lp. marchy
