Please, if anyone has information about conditions in Za Cmirom valley. I'm mainly interested in snow conditions, whether there'd be enough for skiing at least from/to some 1800m

Thanks!

Yesterday I went from Turkov rovt along the path to Za Cmirom. Snow tongues start around 1800 m and I used them well to avoid the scree path. I climbed directly to Begunjska vratca and then to Staničev dom. From there I went back and to Begunjski vrh, then descended the ascent path.

The jump under Cmirom (just before the valley flattening) is fully snow-covered except a few meters. Above the jump and on to Begunjska vratca there's still plenty of snow. It postholed badly for me, so from the jump (ca. 2100 m) to the hut (2332m), that's 200 m elevation and approx. 1.3 km air distance, took me 2 hours!! The path goes on the right side of the valley, but I climbed directly to the vratca.

Below Triglav everything is snow-covered, but it's southern, new snow hasn't bonded with old. Numerous small slabs were sliding, Triglav rumbled properly a few times. But it was exceptionally nice!! At the hut I ran into the warden who came to clear snow and started opening preparations, which as usual around end of June. He kindly offered me tea. He reached the hut from Krma, freshly trampled the path with snowshoes. I also saw the path from Begunjski studenec to Kredarica is trampled, presumably on foot, don't know if normal track or snowshoes.

Used crampons last 40 m below Begunjski vrh summit, little snow, below scree and rocks annoyingly slipping. Used ice axe first meters descending the mentioned jump at end of flat Za Cmirom valley (2100m). If carried skis over upper jump area (ca. 50 m), could ski snow tongues below jump another 200 vertical m, to ca. 1800-1900m. Snow there has numerous stone "bombs".

And also: gaiters mandatory, I forgot mine! From totally soaked boots poured good glass of water at path end. For movement in Triglav Glacier area snowshoes or skis sensible. Such conditions last at least 14 more days. Pictures say more.

The leveled part of the Za Cmirom valley still has a lot of snow.1
A few meters below Begunjska vrata, Triglav magically appears.2
View back along the Za Cmirom valley. Continuous snow to the jump.3
Rjavanina and Staničev dom from Begunjska vrata.4
Staničev dom, the caretaker's track is visible. He came from Krma with snowshoes.5
Ridge between Kredarica and Rž. Snow, plenty of snow!6

From Begunjski vrh, numerous smaller avalanches were well visible.9

Path track. On descent I tried to keep the ascent footprints, but the sun will do its job in a few days anyway.12
Za Cmirom valley on descent. Begunjski vrh in the middle.13
Jump at the end of the valley. Skis would have to be carried a few dozen meters.14
Below the jump, view down. Snow tongues still reach about 1800 meters.15
If you have no gaiters, you pour the water out of your boots :)16
