On Wednesday morning I wanted to go from Zadnjica to Dolič, but the road to Zzadnjica was blocked by the downpour. I wonder if anyone knows if it's still there. Thanks.

Even if the road is not passable, it still shortens the path by cca 20min.

Mysteriously quiet and beautiful was the Zadnjica valley today, when it was wrapped in gray in all shades. The color contrasts between living and non-living nature were still extraordinary.

Quick chamois females like you, Rozka, can view Zadnjica also from a bird's perspective. smilewink

22.1. from the parking in Zadnjica to the end of the valley (junction of paths to Dolič/Prehodavci).

A beautiful winter walk where, despite low temperatures, fairy-tale views warm you from all sides.big grin
At the start there was snow only as a sample. It became more and more fairy-tale above the last homestead. From there on, snow-covered branches were bending over the path almost all the time. But it was possible to proceed nicely by "slaloming" between them. At the end there were cca 25 cm of unpacked snow.
A special feeling when stepping into pristine whiteness.smile
Only at home did I think how lively it would be on the path if temperatures were above zero. Certainly not so fairy-tale...
Already before Trento my camera couldn't resist the beauties1
Stenar and Kriški podi2
Pihavec and Šplevta3
At the starting point, just a sample of snow...4
Ever more beautiful views5

A little above the last homestead, the snow cover began to thicken.7
More and more branches hung over the path due to the weight of the snow8
But it was possible to progress nicely by slaloming between them9
In this section, the trunks are snow-covered also on the sides10
Kanjavec's trio for a wonderful backdrop11
View towards Vrhovi Zelenic. You can clearly see how far the sun's rays reached into the forest12
You just can't decide which view is more beautiful...13

One of the few obstacles that could not be bypassed.16
It was quite hard to say goodbye to these beauties.17

On Thursday I talked to a German woman who slept at Prehodavci and said no problems from Zadnjica. She was without winter gear.
Vodnikov vršač confirmed dry, Špičje looked dry, towards Hribarice there are snow patches which can probably be bypassed (not putting my hand in the fire), towards Vrata (Za Kopico) there are still substantial snow fields.
