Does anyone have experience with Zamberlan boots? I'm looking at the model http://www.iglusport.si/?mod=store&action=viewProduct&action_id=15317&language=sl I would use them all year round, no extremes. I would have universal crampons. Currently using Scarpa Ladakh and they are super, only after one year the leather wore out, cracked a bit and absorbs water quickly despite impregnation. Interested if anyone heard anything about such boots, as I don't know them personally. I only know they are Italian. lp

I have brand new, still unused ones. After about 10 tried pairs I decided exactly on Zamberlan. Leather looks very quality, the making itself too. The feel when you put them on is excellent. I was looking for boots that are leather inside too, but they have become real rarity. Apparently without GTX you can't sell a boot..

Thanks. Gotta try them. My current Scarpa Ladakh fully leather, but now they made GTX option with GoreTex. Leather more comfy. Do you plan to wear them all year and what hikes (crampons)?

Which others did you try and how stiff is the sole on Zamberlan?

I have shoes of this brand, when I bought them they seemed super, now when wearing on hikes I see they are very narrow, could be a bit wider.
