Zir is a peak right next to the Zagreb-Split highway, at the Gornja Ploča exit.
The path is well marked, and from the top there's a nice view of Southern Velebit.

On the way home we climb to Zir, right next to the Zg-St highway. From afar nothing special, up close towards the top it shows its teeth. At least this time it was like that, as the ground was soaked, rocks wet, good combination for slipping. At that spot there's a thin steel cable, but the guides still installed an additional rope. It came in very handy, especially on the descent. Views extend across Lika, to Velebit and across to Bosnia.
