We started yesterday's tour at the Cason di Lanza-Lonice pass (1552m) above Pontebba-Tablja. We drove along the main road to the other side of the pass, a good km downhill, and at the hut in the sharp bend turned right onto gravel road 449, which starts steeply climbing. The initial climb is somewhere 2 km, then the road flattens. We rode above Straniger pasture and climbed the serpentine gravel road 403 to Waidigger Höhe pass 1810 m, which was also the highest point of the tour. This was followed by 2.5 km traverse on single track under Lodin hill. The trail was in poor condition, so we had to push the bike almost continuously. Then we reached today's goal, picturesque Zollner lake 1767 m. Short stop and then onwards to nearby Zollnersee hut. We got back to gravel road and rode to pasture and hut Rosser half km away. This hut can also be reached by car. Follows traverse under ridge and then more than 10 km descent to valley to Weidenburg village. From here main road to Goderschach village, where in village center turn right onto wonderful 11.7 km gravel road, which brings us back to previously mentioned Stranig pasture. Shortly after we reached the path we rode past on arrival. Remaining was return back to Cason di Lanza-Lonice pass. In the end just this beautiful but demanding circular panoramic tour that offers everything a mountain biker needs. Accumulated 1845 vertical meters in 54 kilometers.
