Žolnir's Hike to Kremžar Peak on UN Day

On Sunday, October 16, 2011, more than 60 hikers from PD Slovenj Gradec and PD Mislinja participated in Žolnir's memorial hike on UN Day to Kremžar Peak (1164 m). At the starting point, Slovenj Gradec mayor Mr. Matjaž Zanoškar greeted us. Hikers gathered at 8 a.m. at Belvi on Legen, from where we climbed via Gradišče first to the hut below Kremžar Peak, then optionally to Kremžar Peak, some hikers decided to continue to Planinc hut above Sv. Primož on Pohorje. Weather wasn't very favorable at first, cloudy and quite cold, only as we approached Planinc hut did the first sun rays greet us. In Planinc hut we refreshed with excellent sour soup, fried mice, and roasted chestnuts. Thanks to the friendly hut keeper for the service and hospitality, and thanks to all female and male mountaineering colleagues for the pleasant gathering in nature.
