Župančič Trail

This time the Škofja Loka retirees united from two groups-Monday walkers and Tuesday walkers drove to our beautiful White Carniola and walked part of the Župančič footpath. This path runs from Dragatuš to Vinica and was overall a bit too long for us. We started from the village Beljčji vrh. Through meadows, through little woods, a bit on asphalt too you reach the village Hrast pri Vinici. You go past a large so-called kal. Here they watered livestock and even washed laundry. Then through the village Perudine. After this village then through forest to Žeželj. Along this path through this forest there are still plaques with verses from Župančič's poems. Just last Sunday was the Župančič hike. At the church on Žeželj we had snack. When we finished snack, then down steep path past nicely renovated chapels of the Way of the Cross to village Golek pri Vinici and finally we arrived at parking lot by the parish church. In between it even drizzled a bit, but we're not made of sugar and a little rain doesn't bother us.
