From the parking lot on the road in Gozdec along the marked trail to V. Kanin to Planina Gozdec, here we continue right and along the zigzag path to the spring, where we can fill our bottles for the last time. After approx. 1/2 hour we reach the GRS bivouac and the site of the old Peter Skalar hut. From here we continue following the blazes and cairns to the junction for Dom P. Skalarja, where we go straight across the Kanin slopes to the junction for V. Kanin and Vrh Laške Planje, where we turn left.
Over various rocky steps, hands out of pockets are needed.
If we're lucky, we might encounter chamois below the summit.
