Dovje - Frauenkogel/Dovška Baba (via Blažčeva skala)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave the Gorenjska highway at the Jesenice west exit (Hrušica), and then continue driving towards Kranjska Gora. On the main road towards Kranjska Gora we drive to the first turn-off towards Dovje, through the settlement we follow the signs for Dovška Baba. After crossing the Mlinca stream, where there is a small hydropower plant (MHE), we park at a suitable spot by the road, where there are also hiking signposts.
B) First, we drive to Kranjska Gora, and then continue driving towards Jesenice. We leave the main road towards Jesenice when the signs for Dovje direct us left, through the settlement we follow the signs for Dovška Baba. After crossing the Mlinca stream, where there is a small hydropower plant (MHE), we park at a suitable spot by the road, where there are also hiking signposts.

Route description:
From the starting point, we continue on the macadam road in the direction of Jesenice (left marked path to Dovška Baba). On the road, we first ascend diagonally, during the ascent occasionally a nice view opens up on the Julian Alps. Higher, the road first turns sharply left, then right. At the right bend, we leave it and continue straight on a cart track that ascends diagonally to the left; before reaching a small saddle, we turn right from it onto a beaten path, which then bypasses a small, partly wooden house on the left side. The path continues through the forest, where we pass a feeding site for wildlife; after crossing a stream, we go slightly left. Further on, the path temporarily flattens, then we ascend through an indistinct valley to a small saddle, where there is a junction of unmarked paths.
Left along the ridge, a path continues that higher brings us to the road leading to the Dovška Rožca mountain pasture; straight downhill, we descend along the eastern path to the road; to the right, a path continues to Blažčeva skala.
We continue right and quickly ascend to the logbook box, bench, and cross on Blažčeva skala.
From the top, we descend to a smaller saddle, then continue on an initially poorly visible path that ascends along the ridge, which soon widens into a slope. When the path enters the slope, it traverses to the right; on a clearing, the path widens into a cart track. The cart track higher enters the forest and joins a poorer macadam road; when we reach a wider road, we follow it left. This is followed by an ascent on the macadam road, which higher also passes a barrier, then in a diagonal ascent we reach the saddle between Bela peč and Dovška Baba, where a marked path from the valley also joins.
We continue the ascent on the road, which after a few steps of further walking brings us to the point where we leave it, as the markers direct us left onto a steep footpath that continues ascending through the forest. Higher, the path crosses a grazing fence and a short panoramic slope, then returns to the forest, where we reach a small unmarked junction. We continue left on the marked path (straight to the spring of the Starka well, 1 minute), which steeply ascends again, then turns slightly right, bringing us after a few minutes of further walking to the lower edge of the Dovška Rožca mountain pasture. Here the path turns left and after a few minutes of ascent over blooming meadows brings us to the shepherd's huts on the Dovška Rožca mountain pasture.
