Path description:
We continue through the village, then at crossroads we follow the signs to the lake. The road higher becomes macadam and enters the forest, where it flattens. There follow some more crossroads, but we still follow the signs to the lake; the signs mostly appear in three languages, namely Italian, German, and Slovenian, here and there only in Italian. The road on which we walk mainly leads towards the east; when it turns more towards the north, it also starts to descend visibly. A little further we leave the road and continue left towards Spodnje Mangartsko jezero (at this sign, instead of the Slovenian inscription, there is an English one). There follows a short descent, then the forest path continues without major changes in elevation. Further on we go past Malo jezero / Lago Piccolo and Majceno jezero / Lago Piccolissimo, then we descend to Spodnje Mangartsko jezero.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in 2018 (November).
