Altes Almhaus - Brandkogel

Access to starting point:
We leave the Highway A2 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee - Graz at the Packsattel exit (from the direction of Graz we take the Mooskirchen exit), and then we follow the road towards the town of Köflach and further towards Judenburg and the Gaberl ski slope. Still in the town of Köflach, we turn slightly left into the settlement of Maria Lankowitz, from where we then follow the signs for the cottage Altes Almhaus, where we park on a gravel parking lot.

Route description:
From the northern part of the parking lot we go on an unmarked path which leads us towards the northeast. After a short ascent, we reach a grassy ridge, where the path flattens or starts gradually descending, and turns a little more to the right. There follows a few minutes of easy walking, and then we arrive below the peak, where we gradually start moderately ascending. Higher, we also cross a grazing fence and in a minute of a slightly steeper ascent, we ascend to the cross on a panoramic summit.
