Bidrovec - Planinarski dom Gorščica (path 24)

Access to starting point:
We leave the highway Zagreb-Varaždin at the exit Sesvete, Dugo Selo. We drive to Sesvete and then continue to Zagreb.
We leave the road Dubrava, which runs through the eponymous part of Zagreb, at a big intersection and go right in the direction of Miroševec (at that intersection there is McDonalds and a large gas station INA).
Further, we drive towards the north in the direction of the Miroševečko cemetery (along the road there are two roundabouts, where we follow the signs for the cemetery). After the cemetery we go through the park Grad mladih and come to the town Miroševec.
We go only on the main road and at the end of the settlement (the beginning of Trnava is not marked) we come to the next roundabout, from which we go straight. We arrive in the village Popovec (this village is not marked with a sign either) and park at the smaller intersection just before the spot where the road starts to ascend steeply.
The starting point is quite hard to find. I recommend the use of navigation.

Path description:
From the parking lot in Popovec we go ahead, orientation is easy because Mačkova Pečina is visible below the summit Pečovje. At the inn we go left upwards into the street Površnica. We soon come to a junction, where path 25 branches off to the right, but we go left downwards along the street Gorščica on path 24. Here along the road there are still a few parking options, but on weekends they are often all full. The path soon brings us to some nice farms and transitions into the forest, where the asphalt ends.
Further, we ascend along the macadam road which leads to the mountain hut, and along the path we will notice the interesting spring Žlebići, where we can refresh ourselves and refill our water supplies.
After the spring we leave the road and go into the forest on a steep path, higher we cross a cart track and continue further on the steep path. Higher the path flattens and along a wide path we cross several smaller streams. After the section which is often muddy during and after rain, we arrive in a belt of mixed forest, where the path temporarily becomes steeper. When we return to the road the path flattens, and we soon arrive at the junction Križni hrast, where path 25 joins us from the right.
We continue ahead to the north and after a minute we leave the road.
There follows only a few minutes of walking through the forest and we arrive at the mountain hut Gorščica.
