Bidrovec - Planinarski dom Gorščica (path 24)

Access to starting point:
We leave the highway Zagreb-Varaždin at the exit Sesvete, Dugo Selo. We drive to Sesvete and then ahead to Zagreb.
The road Dubrava, which runs through the eponymous part of Zagreb we leave at a big crossroad and we go right in the direction of Miroševec (at that crossroad there is McDonalds and a large gas station INA).
Further, we drive towards the north in the direction of the cemetery Miroševečko groblje (by the path there are two roundabouts, where we follow the signs for cemetery). After the cemetery we go through park Grad mladih and we come to town Miroševec.
We go on the main road and at the end of the settlement (beginning of Trnava isn't marked) we come to the next roundabout, from which we go straight. We come in the village Popovec (this village isn't marked with a sign as well) and we park at the smaller crossroad just before the spot where the road starts ascending steeply.
The starting point is quite hard to find. I recommend the use of GPS.

Path description:
From the parking lot in Popovec we go ahead, orientation is easy because we can see Mačkova Pečina below the summit Pečovje. At the inn we go left upwards on street Površnica. We soon come to a crossing, where the path 25 branches off to the right, and we go left downwards on street Gorščica on the path 24. Here by the road there are few more options for parking, but on weekends they are often all full. The path soon brings us to some nice farms and passes into the forest, where the asphalt ends.
Further, we are ascending on the macadam road which leads to the mountain hut, and by the path, we will notice an interesting source Žlebići, where we can have a snack and we can refill the water.
After the source, we leave the road and we go in the forest on a steep footpath, higher we cross the cart track and we still continue on the steep path. Higher, the path flattens and on a wide footpath we cross several smaller streams. After the part, which is during and after the rain often muddy, we get to a lane of mixed forest, where the path for some time becomes steeper. When we return on the road, the path flattens, and we soon get to a crossing Križni hrast, where from the right side joins the path 25.
We continue forward towards the north and after a minute we leave the road.
Next follows only few minutes of walking through the forest and we get to the mountain hut Gorščica.
