Access to starting point:
Leave the A1 motorway at the Split exit. Continue on the expressway to Split, then proceed along the Adriatic Highway to the town of Omiš. After crossing the bridge over the Cetina River, pay attention to the left turn-off. When the sea reappears on the right, turn left towards Borak. The steep, narrow, and winding road leads through Borak; upon reaching the end of the village, the road climbs very steeply above the village, where we park at a bend by the road. The road ahead becomes gravel and ends.
Path description:
From the starting point, we follow the road which loses its asphalt surface and ends at a house. We continue behind the house onto the path, which first ascends gently through the forest. Soon it turns into a kind of scree. The path then enters a wide torrent gully. We ascend it for a while, taking care not to veer too far left, as many game trails lead to the bottom of the gully. The path climbs over a few short rocky steps and reaches a broad ridge. We ascend along it for about another 20 minutes, mostly through a pine thicket. Ever better views open towards Omiš. We reach a marked junction where the path forks left to Kula and right to Sveti Vid. We continue towards Kula and in one more minute of walking arrive at Luda kuća.
From the hut, we continue along the path. After a short steep ascent, we reach a ledge which we cross with the aid of a fixed cable. Then we cross the edge with the help of another cable, after which the path levels out. The rocky path ascends gently for about 10 minutes, then steeply climbs through a belt of scrub. The path then traverses left to a bench. Beyond the bench, the path becomes rocky, the forest ends, and we cross a few rocky steps; 10 minutes from the bench we are at the panoramic Kula, the highest peak of Omiška Dinara.
