Braslovško jezero - Dom na Čreti

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana–Maribor motorway, take the Šentrupert exit, then continue driving in the direction of Mozirje and Logarska Valley. At the settlement Parižlje, leave the main road and continue driving left in the direction of Braslovče. When we arrive in Braslovče, more precisely in the centre of the settlement near the church, at the junction continue slightly left in the direction of Braslovško jezero lake. Further on, drive along a somewhat narrower road, along which we quickly arrive at the parking lot by the already mentioned lake.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we first walk to the nearby inn Jezero, then continue on the marked path, which bypasses Braslovško jezero on the right side. On the other side of the lake, we continue for a short time across the meadow, then arrive at the road, which we follow to the left. Soon we approach a residential house, in front of which we turn left, then immediately after crossing a smaller stream continue right onto the cart track. The cart track first continues through the forest, then takes us to the meadows, where it begins to fade. At the end of the meadow, we first continue a few steps to the left, then notice the cart track that turns sharply to the right. We continue along the mentioned cart track, which quickly ascends to the nearby macadam road, which we follow to the right. The path ahead slightly descends and joins another road. We continue in the same direction and gently ascend to the nearby farm. On the other side of the farm, the path first slightly ascends, then turns right onto a cart track, along which we then cross the slopes to the right. After a few minutes of crossing, we reach an asphalt road, which we soon leave as the blazes direct us onto a footpath that ascends through the forest. Higher up, we cross the road once again, then, when we step onto it again, walk along it to the place where the path from Letuš joins. Here we leave the road and continue the ascent along the ladder, which helps with the steep ascent, then continue the ascent through the forest. The path ahead leads past a bench, after which we are soon back on the road. We follow the road to the left, but walk along it only a few metres, then continue right onto the footpath, which soon crosses the road again. The path ahead leads us across a shorter, partly overgrown clearing, from which a view opens onto Bezovec. Higher up, we continue along the road for a few minutes, then ascend along the marked shortcut to Covnikov križ.
Here we continue right (straight to Bezovec 15 minutes) and at the smaller junction again right. We continue along the scenic asphalt road, along which after a few minutes of gentle descent we arrive at Dom na Dobrovljah.
At the hut, we leave the asphalt road and continue along the macadam road in the direction of Čreta. The road quickly takes us to a smaller hamlet, where we continue right, then behind the houses continue along the cart track in the direction of Čreta. The well-marked cart track begins to descend across the initially still scenic slope, then passes into a strip of forest, where it also crosses the macadam road. A gentle ascent follows to the nearby farm Kokovnik, then we walk to the nearby chapel. At the chapel, the path enters the forest, then after a short descent joins the asphalt road. Along the road, we ascend moderately for some time, then the path from Nazarije and Mozirje joins us. Here we continue straight and ascend along the road to the marked junction.
At the junction, we continue sharply left in the direction of the footpath to Čreta (straight Čreta access by car). We continue along the forest road, which along the edge of the meadow takes us to the next junction.
This time we continue right (left to sv. Janez and Pavel and Grmada) and past farm Križnik return to the main road, which we reach near the junction.
We continue along the right road (straight to Žovneško jezero), which we follow for only a few dozen steps, as the signs for Čreta then direct us left onto the marked cart track. The path ahead ascends gently to moderately for some time, then takes us to the next NOB monument, after which the path gradually begins to descend. After a short descent, we come to a smaller hamlet, which the marked path bypasses on the left side, then in a moderate ascent across the increasingly scenic slope, we ascend to the church of the Holy Mother of God.
Behind the church, we continue slightly left (sharply left Vrhe, slightly right church of sv. Katarina), cross a narrow strip of forest, then begin to descend towards Dom na Čreti, which we reach after a few minutes of descent.
