Access to starting point:
From the direction of Zasavje we drive towards Radeče, and then on the left bank of the river Sava, in the settlement Obrežje we leave the main road which continues over the bridge and continue on a side road in the direction of Lisca, Breg, and Loka. We continue driving through the settlements Loka pri Zidanem Mostu, Račica to the settlement Breg, where by the sports field the described path begins.
From the direction of Posavje we first drive to Boštanj, from where we head from the roundabout towards Sevnica, immediately after the bridge over the river Sava we go from the roundabout at the Lidl store "left" on the exit in the direction of Breg. We continue driving along the river Save to the settlement Breg, where by the sports field the described path begins.
Path description:
From the starting point by the sports field, we continue on the asphalt road towards the northeast, and after crossing the stream, we go left towards Lisca and Jurklošter. In a light ascent, we continue past a few more houses, then the road splits, and we proceed on the left road, marked with signs for the mountain path to Lovrenc (straight to Lisca), bypassing the football field on the right. Along the path, we continue for quite some time on a gently sloping road that leads us through the valley of stream Podvinski potok. Further on, at a few smaller crossroads, we continue straight, following the blazes. The road later begins to gradually ascend more steeply, leading us past a few more houses, ponds, and later the Azaleja restaurant.
At the closed restaurant (as of May 2025), the road turns right, but shortly after, at a marked crossing, we leave it and continue left on a marked cart track, which turns into a quite overgrown footpath in a meadow. Next follows an ascent through a strip of forest, and we reach the driving road to the right of a nearby house.
We cross the road and continue on the marked path, which mostly runs through the forest and, higher up, leads past individual houses where we cross some access roads or walk along them briefly.
Higher up, we reach a slightly wider macadam road, which we follow to the right (left towards Loka pri Zidanem Mostu). We quickly ascend to a marked crossing, where an inscription box and a stamp for Lovrenc are located.
Here, we turn right towards Lisce (left towards Radeče, Veliko Kozje, and the Gračnica valley), passing a chapel and a fenced area, and ascend to the church of St. Lovrenc, from which a beautiful view opens up.
We bypass the church on the right side and on a fenced path by the meadow descend to a macadam road, which we follow to the right, and at the nearby crossroad, we go right again. Further, we descend on the asphalt road, at the end of the meadow on the left side we go left onto a marked path, which continues along the right edge of the meadow; when the path enters the forest, we follow the blazes. Next follows a gentle to moderate ascent through the forest, and when we leave the forest, a beautiful view opens up. Here follows a short steep descent, and lower down, the path splits.
We turn left onto a longer path, along which the blazes continue (the path straight ahead leads through private land), and on a cart track, we ascend to a macadam road, which we follow to the right.
From the macadam road, we quickly turn right downward onto an access path toward a nearby house, but before approaching the house, we go straight onto a path that ascends on the western to southwestern grassy slopes of the hill Njivce. Higher up, the path enters the forest, where without significant changes in altitude, we cross the southern forested slopes, then turn right downward from the cart track onto a footpath, which leads lower onto a meadow, across which we diagonally descend. When the path flattens, we cross through a strip of forest and reach an asphalt road, which we follow to the right in the direction of Lisca. Next follows some walking on the asphalt road with occasional views, and when we return to the forest, we turn right from the road in the direction of Lisca, and a little further, we cross the asphalt road again. Next follows a walk through a strip of bushes and low forest, then we reach another asphalt road, along which we continue the ascent. When the road continuing toward Lisca turns left, we turn right onto a cart track, which immediately splits. We choose the left cart track, which leads us past a chapel from 1900 up the slope; when we reach the ridge connecting Zlaški hrib with Lisca, we turn left (here, the usual path from Breg toward Lisca joins from the right), and a minute or two further, past another marked crossing, we arrive at the church of St. Jošt.
We continue left of the church toward Lisca, initially ascending diagonally through the forest to the left, then the path turns right and ascends diagonally to the right. A little further, additional paths from Sevnica join from the right. We continue straight, and slightly higher, we leave the forest and walk along the lower edge of a larger meadow to Tončkov dom on Lisca, then quickly ascend past Jurčkova koča on Lisca to the scenic peak of Lisca.
