Brezovica pri Ljubljani - Vrh (Debeli hrib)

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Koper motorway, we turn onto the Brezovica exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. Approximately 100 m before the intersection where the road to Podpeč branches off to the left, we will notice signs for the fruit and vegetable store Pod orehom on the right side of the road, which direct us right onto V Radno street. Here our path to Vrh begins, and we park somewhere nearby in a suitable place in Brezovica.

Route description:
We leave Tržaška cesta in the direction of the fruit and vegetable store Pod orehom, then before the store we continue left onto the ascending road, which leads us past a few houses. Behind the houses, bypassing the last one on the right side, the road turns into a forest and becomes at first a still wide cart track. The cart track soon levels out, then leads us to a small junction, where we continue on the right, also well-trodden cart track. We soon leave the mentioned cart track as the predecessors' tracks lead us slightly left onto a well-trodden path, which ascends gently for a few minutes. Soon the path reaches the next cart track, where there are a larger number of woodpiles. Here we notice an arrow on a tree directing us left, but we continue straight on the gentle cart track that crosses the slopes to the right. A little further on, the path separates from the cart track so that it runs parallel to it, then returns to it. Only a few more 10 m of walking on the cart track follows, then the well-trodden path turns left and begins to ascend moderately. In two long switchbacks, the path ascends to the indistinct ridge of Brezovški hrib, where it continues with a few shorter ascents and descents. About 15 minutes further on, we join another ridge, where the marked Cankarjeva pot joins from the right side. Here we continue straight and in a few minutes of gentle ascent we reach the marked Vrh, where there is a registration box, a bench, a thermometer, a frog...
