Bukovniško jezero - Plečnik's church (Bogojina)

Access to starting point:
We leave the Pomurska motorway at the Gančani exit, then follow the signs for Renkovci and further to Dobrovnik. When in Dobrovnik we reach the main road Murska Sobota - Lendava, we continue right, and only a little further we go left towards Bukovniško jezero. There follows some more driving and we arrive at the well-maintained parking lot in front of Bukovniško jezero.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the path which runs parallel to the road and quickly brings us to a marked junction, where the path to Strehovske gorice and a shorter path to sv. Vid branches off to the left.
We continue straight and only a little further we emerge from the forest, from where we ascend the stairs to the embankment of Bukovniško jezero.
When we reach the embankment we go left and with a view of Bukovniško jezero we arrive at the bridge of love. After the bridge follows a shorter ascent on the stairs, then the path forks.
To the right the path continues around the lake, we continue slightly left and on the marked path which leads through, we quickly ascend to the chapel of sv. Vid, where the somewhat shorter previously mentioned path joins from the left.
We continue on the marked path, which a little higher widens into a road and brings us to Strehovski Breg, where we continue past a few houses. At the first junction in the settlement we go straight, at the second, located at the shrine, right, where after the hunting observation post we enter the forest, where the path turns left. Through the forest at several junctions we follow the blazes, and the path slowly begins to descend. When we arrive at the stream Janderdol, we cross it over a small bridge, then along the fields we continue to the gravel road, which we follow right uphill. There follows some ascent, at the smaller intersection we go left, then on the already asphalted road we arrive at a larger chapel, where we go right on the marked road (even if we continue left we can reach Bogojina, but then we do not continue on the marked path). We continue past a few more houses, at the last house we go left into the forest. Through the forest we descend slightly, when we reach the cart track we follow it left, from it we soon go right onto the trail, on which we easily descend to the next stream. On the other side of the stream we step out of the forest and between the fields continue to the hiking signpost, where we go left. For a short time we continue along the edge of the forest, after the hunting observation post we go right onto the marked path, which after a few minutes brings us to the asphalt road, which we follow right. At the last house in the street the road ends, we bypass the house on the left side, a little further we reach another road, where we go right again. The path further leads us through the settlement Filovski Breg. When the houses end the signs for Bogojina and Moravske Toplice direct us left onto the marked path, which mostly continues through the forest, partly also along the forest edges. There follow several consecutive junctions, where we carefully follow the blazes, when we leave the forest we easily descend across the meadow to the nearby house, which we bypass on the left side. At the house we reach the road, on which we continue the easy descent, from the intersection we go right to the wider road, where we go left (right Bukovica).
On the road we continue descending easily, when we approach the flat part of Prekmurje the blazes direct us right onto the local road, on which we then continue through the settlement Bogojina. Through the settlement we continue straight, when we approach the church the blazes direct us right onto the path which continues between the house and a smaller avenue. There follows one more minute of walking and we arrive at Plečnik's church in Bogojina.
