Access to starting point:
Celje, the third largest Slovenian city, practically accessible from several sides. Park somewhere between the railway station and the bridge over the Savinja River in the direction of Laško. The problem might be that the parking lots are mainly paid... upon arrival by train, these problems naturally disappear.
Path description:
From the center of Celje or the railway station we head in the direction of Laško, where immediately after the road roundabout we cross the bridge over the Savinja River. Immediately behind the bridge we turn right onto the asphalt road and after a good hundred meters at the monastery we turn left onto the road of the same surface uphill and this is also the beginning of the marked mountain path. After a good two hundred meters we turn left again, also a signpost for Žerdonerjeva pot. After a few dozen steps we climb higher, transition to a forest path which we follow serpentinely through the forest and keep to the signs for Sv. Miklavž. Along a scenic path at the exit from the dense forest we reach the church, which is on the top of the eponymous hill.
