Celje - Old Castle of Celje

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Maribor we take the Celje exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Laško. Soon after Celje (still before Laško) left (at the traffic light) over the bridge, the road towards Celjska koča branches off. On the other side of the bridge over the river Savinja, we continue left (right - Celjska koča) and follow the road through the underpass under the railway track and then immediately after the underpass we park on the parking lot on the right side of the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot below Grajski hrib we go on a footpath in the direction of Stari grad. A wide and at first gently sloping path, which leads us through the forest throughout the entire ascent, ascends a little steeper a little below the summit and quickly brings us below the walls of Stari grad. The marked path through the walls brings us to Stari grad.
