Access to starting point:
Celje, the third largest Slovenian city, is practically accessible from several/all sides. We park somewhere between the railway station and the bridge over the Savinja in the direction of Laško. The problem might be that the parking lots are mostly paid... if we come by train, these problems of course fall away...
Path description:
From the center of Celje or the railway station we head in the direction of Laško, where immediately after the roundabout we cross over the bridge the river Savinja. Immediately behind the bridge we turn right on the asphalt road and after a good hundred meters at the monastery we turn left onto the road of the same surface/Majstrova cesta to Miklavški hrib. We follow the road sharply to the right, left and once again to the right. At the house with a hedge, immediately after the end of the hedge fence before the short avenue of a few trees we continue right. A few dozen meters through the meadow and we reach the Temple of Hercules, an important point from the ancient period/history of Celje.
The path measures 800 meters and 50 elevation meters. Performed for the description on 28.03.2016.
