Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Koper highway, take the Brezovica exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. After 4.5 km of driving from the point where we entered the old road, at the traffic-light crossroads turn right towards the center of Dragomer. When the lines in the middle end, turn slightly right and immediately straight uphill. Drive up it to the crossroads, where continue right (marked) and on a quite steep road arrive at the parking lot in front of Sveti Lovrenc.
B) From the Koper - Ljubljana highway, take the Vrhnika exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Ljubljana. After 8.5 km of driving from the point where we entered the old road, turn left onto the local road that continues between meadows and fields. After a few hundred meters arrive at a hamlet of a few houses, where at the crossroads turn left, and the road a few meters further turns right. Further drive mostly straight, then at the crossroads next to which there are garbage containers, turn right. A steep ascent and bend follow to the crossroads, where continue left and on a quite steep road arrive at the parking lot in front of Sveti Lovrenc.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we go on a footpath to the water catchment, which we bypass on the left; immediately when we arrive in the forest, we continue right on the path. After a short ascent, we come again to a logging trail, which we cross and continue on a wide path that brings us to an indistinct ridge. We continue on the most trodden path, which mostly follows the ridge. With a few shorter ascents and descents over two small hills, the path finally leads us to a logging trail. We continue on it to the main ridge of Debeli hrib, where there is a junction. Continue left towards Ferjanka, right Vrh. A gentle path brings us in 3 minutes to the foot of Vrhovčev grič, where we turn right onto a poorer footpath and in 2 minutes we are on Vrhovčev grič. We can also ascend from the western side along a logging trail.
