Činžat - Klopni vrh (northern path)

Access to starting point:
A) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, between HE Fala and HE Ožbalt we turn left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju (from the direction of Dravograd we turn right). On the other side of the Drava we start ascending along Radoljna, and at the marked crossroad we go left towards Činžat and Ruše. Next follows some ascent, and on the saddle where we notice red hiking signposts the described path begins. At the crossroad there are no arranged parking spots, so we park a little aside in an appropriate place.
B) We drive into Ruše, and then we follow the road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. In the settlement Činžat we arrive at the saddle where we notice red hiking signposts, where the described path begins. Route description:
From the starting point we head onto the road following the signs for Činžat and Koča na Klopnem vrhu. At first we walk on an asphalt road that leads us past a few houses, at the crossroads we follow the blazes and signs for Koča na Klopnem vrhu. Above the settlement the asphalt ends, and the road enters the valley of Lamprehtov potok, along which we continue the ascent. Further on the road temporarily becomes asphalted and at 728 meters above sea level turns sharply to the right. Next follows a traverse ascent, so we gradually distance ourselves from the stream. Higher up there are a few crossroads, at all of them we continue left. Then follows some moderate ascent to the left and we arrive at the chapel of Sv. Križ, from which some views of the surroundings open up.
After the chapel we bypass the Lampreht homestead on the upper side, then follows an easy ascent that we cover in a longer traverse of the slopes of Lamprehtov vrh. When the traverse ends we return to Lamprehtov potok, which we cross over a bridge, immediately after the bridge the path from Ruše via Zgornji Smolnik joins us from the left.
We continue straight on the wider road towards Koča na Klopnem vrhu, and also at the next crossroad we go straight in the same direction (left Areh and Šumik). Next follows some ascent along the stream and the path brings us to Fišerjeva žaga, where we go to the other side of the stream again.
A few 10 m further from the stream we leave the road and continue left following the signs for Koča na Klopnem vrhu, where we first go over the fence, then past a private hut into the forest, where we continue the ascent on a cart track. The cart track has a few forks higher up, where we follow the blazes, mainly ascending through the forest. When higher up we reach the pasture fence the marked trail leads us right from the fence. A few minutes we continue along the fence, then we return to the macadam road, where we join the path from Lovrenc na Pohorju.
When we reach the road, if we continue left along it in a few 10 steps we arrive at Koča na Klopnem vrhu, but we continue straight across the road onto the path in the direction of Klopni vrh (right Lovrenc na Pohorju). The path ahead leads us on a cart track that mostly moderately ascends through the forest. We follow the path, which at a few smaller forks we follow in the direction of the blazes, all the way to the nearby summit, which we reach after approximately 15 minutes from the place where we left the road.
