Dolga vas - Lookout tower Vinarium Lendava (Opekarniška pot)

Access to starting point:
We leave the Pomurska highway at the junction for Dolga vas, where we drive for a short time on the fast road H7, from which we take the first exit for Dolga vas. When we arrive in Dolga vas we go past the cemetery, where there is a marked parking lot, but parking is allowed only for the visitors of the cemetery. We drive to the other side of the cemetery, where at the crossroads we go left (right Lendava) and then we park on the eastern side of the cemetery.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we first carefully cross the main road, then we go right towards Lendava. Already after a few steps we go left onto a side road, along which there are signs for Vinarium tower and Opekarniška path. There follows an ascent past the fire station home; on the section where the road runs through the forest we arrive at a marked junction, where the Opekarniška path branches off to the left.
We continue along the Opekarniška path (straight ahead the marked path continues along the road), which climbs through a strip of bushes, higher up it turns right and leads us to a fenced garden, where the blazes temporarily disappear. We continue along the left side of the garden, through a strip of bushes and in a slight descent we arrive at the foot of the vineyard. We continue along the left side of the vineyard, higher up on a supporting pole we notice a blaze that confirms we are on the right path. We continue the path along the edge of the bushes, further on the gentle path brings us a little further by the nearby house to an asphalt road, which we follow to the right (if we continue left we arrive in Dolga vas). Further on we walk past houses; when we arrive at the junction from which a view opens to the Vinarium lookout tower, we go left. The path further crosses a strip of forest, after crossing the stream we go left from the junction. There follows still an ascent past a few houses, then the road becomes macadam and a little further turns right.
On the section where the road turns right, we continue straight into the forest and continue along the Opekarniška path. Through the forest we follow the blazes and arrows, after a few minutes we reach a cart track, which we follow to the right. The path further leads us past the hunting observation post, the cart track gradually widens into a road and when we arrive at the houses, the road becomes asphalt. From the nearby junction, next to which there is a cross, we continue straight, then in a few minutes of further walking we arrive at the Vinarium lookout tower.
