Dolina Drage - Sveti Rupert above Draga

Access to starting point:
First we drive to Ig, then continue driving towards Škofljica. At the end of Ig, in a sharp left turn, we will notice a side road that turns right from the main road (straight ahead). This road then takes us through the village of Kremenica to a crossroads, where two roads branch off to the right towards Draga (we take the second road). We then follow this road to the parking lot by the lake and the hunting lodge.

Route description:
WARNING: The described path is no longer passable due to crossing private land. Access from the starting point in Dolina Drage past the hunting lodge and Veliki ribnik is closed, so the ascent to the church of Sveti Rupert on this route is not possible. Please respect the property and choose another publicly accessible path to visit the summit.

From the parking lot we continue past the hunting lodge on an unmarked path that runs along the embankment of the southern part of Veliki ribnik. On the other side of the lake the path enters the forest, where it joins a cart track which we follow to the right. After a few dozen steps of further walking the cart track splits into two parts. We continue on the left one, which starts to ascend (the lower right one circles the lake) and takes us a little further to the next junction. Here we continue sharply left and continue the ascent on a somewhat steeper cart track, which higher up joins an asphalt road.
We follow the road to the right, which soon takes us out of the forest onto scenic grassy slopes. After a few minutes of walking on the road we will notice a poorer gravel road on the left side, which we then follow to the church of Sveti Rupert.
