Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the Vodice exit, then continue driving to the first traffic-light junction in Vodice, where you continue left in the direction of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When you arrive at the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik, continue driving in the direction of Cerklje and the Krvavec ski resort. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko, and continue slightly right onto the road towards the Krvavec ski resort. Park on the large well-maintained parking lot by the lower station of the monocable gondola on Krvavec, where you buy a ticket and take the mentioned gondola to the upper station, which is located by the mountain hut Dom na Gospincu.
B) From the highway Jesenice - Ljubljana, take the Kranj - east exit, then continue driving towards Brnik, Komenda and Mengeš. C) From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the Vodice exit, then continue driving to the first traffic-light junction in Vodice, where you continue left in the direction of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and Brnik. Further on, you arrive at the village of Grad, where signs for the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem direct you right onto a steep asphalt road (straight ahead: lower station of the monocable gondola on Krvavec and Štefanja Gora). When the gradient on the steep road eases slightly, you reach a junction, where you continue left in the direction of the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem (straight ahead: settlements Ravne, Apno and Šenturška Gora). A little further, the road temporarily descends slightly, then ascends through occasionally very scenic slopes. Higher up, you arrive at Ambrož pod Krvavcem, where you pass the church of St. Ambrož and the tourist farm Pr Ambružarju on the left side. From the tourist farm onwards, the road enters the forest and ascends through it all the way to the mountain pasture Jezerca, where there is a large well-maintained parking lot. Here, the road levels out and turns left; about 500 m further, it brings you to a junction, where you continue slightly left (right: Kriška planina). You then drive along the macadam road for some time, i.e., to the upper station of the monocable gondola.
The road from the mountain pasture Jezerca to Dom na Gospincu is now closed to public traffic; this extends the route by approximately 30 minutes.

Route description:
At the upper station of the monocable gondola on Krvavec, we will notice numerous hiking signposts. We head in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Krvavcu and Marija Snežna along a poorly visible path that ascends almost straight up the grassy slope. The poorly visible path leads higher across a pasture fence, behind which it becomes somewhat more traceable. The relatively steep path then takes us to the mountain hut Dom na Krvavcu, which we can already see from the upper cable car station (alternatively possible via a poorer macadam road).
From the hut, we continue in the direction of Zvoh along the road that passes the chapel and transmitters on Krvavec and takes us to the Razor saddle (saddle between the Krvavec peak and Veliki Zvoh), where there is a road junction. We continue straight along the ridge (right: Krvavec peak, 5 minutes) to the next junction, where signs for Dolga njiva direct us left (straight: Veliki Zvoh). The path to Dolga njiva then crosses a ski slope and brings us to a slope that is partly overgrown with dwarf pines. The traversing path, after some time, leaves the Krvavec ski resort area through a wire fence. Further on, the path begins to descend, first through dwarf pines, then traverses across some smaller and partly overgrown scree fields. The path then levels out, and from the left, the path from Kokra (via Lojtra) joins us. Only a few more steps follow, and the path brings us to the old shepherd's hut on the mountain pasture Dolga njiva.

Discussion about the trip Dom na Gospincu - Planina Dolga njiva (Krvavec)

Brane V.-Was there yesterday when I went to Kalški greben. Very nice alpine pasture. A herd of horses grazes there. Here is the only flowing water on the entire Krvavec - outside buildings of course. The spring never dries up. It's a bit gravelly, so I recommend return via Ježo ridge to Veliki Zvoh.

Was here 23.07.2008 on the way to Kalški greben. This is my favorite Krvavec planina. This year it seems to host only a herd of horses. But on the return from Kalški greben below Vrh Korena I came across an unguarded herd of sheep - fascinating.

On May 11, the crossing under Zvoh was still completely snowy.
