Dom pod Storžičem - Javorče

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Ljubelj (Tržič) exit, then continue driving towards Ljubelj. Just before the petrol station in Bistrica pri Tržiču, leave the main road and continue right towards Tržič. Continue through Tržič towards Dolžanova soteska, then at the end of the town continue right towards Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše. At the end of Grahovše village, the asphalt ends, and we follow the gravel road towards Dom pod Storžičem. We follow this gravel road, steeper in the upper part, to the parking lot near Dom pod Storžičem.

Path description:
From the parking lot near Dom pod Storžičem, continue on the left road towards Javorniško sedlo, Planina Javornik, Jezersko, Pavšel, Tič, Tržič and NOB monument. After just a few meters of walking, the road splits into two parts, and we choose the lower left road leading towards the nearby NOB monument and Tržič (slightly right Javorniško sedlo). From the road we are following, a short path soon branches off to the left to the nearby monument, but we continue on the road crossing the slopes to the left. After a few minutes, we arrive at the next junction, where we again choose the lower left road (slightly right another path leading to Javorniško sedlo). A little further, specifically at the old hay barn, the road turns into a cart track, which begins to ascend moderately. After a short ascent, we reach another hay meadow with a hay barn; from this path, we get a nice view of Storžič, and after a few more meters it turns right and takes us to a marked junction. At the junction, continue straight towards Bela peč (left Tič and Lom pod Storžičem); we then ascend to a small pass where the cart track levels out and brings us a few dozen meters further to an overgrown clearing. On the clearing, the marked path leaves the cart track and continues right across a short overgrown slope (the branch is not specially marked, but the blazes on the trees are clearly visible). After a few steps, we step back onto a well-followable path, which begins to ascend transversely across steep slopes. This is followed by crossing a short scree slope, where extra caution is needed especially when wet, then we cross a gully and ascend on its other side to the nearby cart track. A relatively steep ascent follows along the cart track, from which we get a nice view, then we join another cart track along which we descend to a gravel road a few minutes away.
When we step onto the road, follow it right; we ascend along it to the nearby Gaberčev rovt (Gabrčov rot), which is only a short distance from the road. From here, walk along the road for just a few more minutes, then leave it in a left bend and continue straight into the forest on a marked cart track. The cart track, initially running along a small stream, soon turns into a trail, which begins to ascend more steeply through the forest. Higher up, the path enters a torrent gully, and we ascend through and beside it to the gravel road.
Upon reaching the mentioned road at Sedlo Dol, continue left (right Planina Javornik), then past the memorial marker a few dozen steps to Koča Pr Zdravc.
From the hut, continue along the road for a short while; at a small pass where the road begins to descend, leave it and continue right towards Bela peč. Follows an ascent along the forested ridge, from which we occasionally get some views to the left where steep slopes are below us; to the right side, where dense forest obstructs the view, the slope is less steep. Higher up, the marked path turns left from the ridge, but we leave it at that point and continue straight, reaching a cart track just a minute higher, along which we continue the ascent. The cart track forks a few minutes higher, and we continue slightly left along the noticeably worse cart track, which soon begins to disappear. After easier bushwhacking, continue to a small saddle, then right towards the main summit. Continue the ascent along the initially indistinct ridge, following the ridge "path" all the way to the partly vegetated summit, where there is a logbook.
