Dom pod Storžičem - Storžič (via Psica)

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, take the Ljubelj (Tržič) exit, then continue driving towards Ljubelj. Just before the gas station in Bistrica pri Tržiču, leave the main road and continue driving right in the direction of Tržič. Further on, drive through Tržič in the direction of Dolžanova soteska, then at the end of the town continue right in the direction of Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše. At the end of the village Grahovše, the asphalt ends, and we follow the macadam road further in the direction of the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem. We follow this macadam road, which is steeper in the upper part, to the parking lot near the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem.

Path description:
From the starting point near the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem, we continue for a short time on the road (direction Storžič), then turn onto the parallel mountain path, which gently ascends along the edge of the meadow. On the upper part of the meadow, we arrive at a smaller wooden cottage, where the path splits into two parts. We choose the slightly right path (left Storžič through Žrelo and over Škarjev rob), which continues on and along a relatively steep cart track. The path higher flattens somewhat and turns to the right. Further, we ascend transversely towards the right for some time, then arrive at the edge of a steep gully, across which we ascend transversely to the nearby wide cart track, which we reach right at its end. We immediately leave the mentioned cart track and continue slightly left into the forest. We continue for some time through the forest on the path, which gently descends for some time, then arrive at a smaller junction, from where we continue in the direction of Mala Poljana.
From the junction onwards, the path starts ascending again, crossing the slopes towards the right all the time. Higher, we reach the cart track, along which we quickly walk to the nearby Mala Poljana.
From Mala Poljana, where the path from Zalog joins us, we continue left in the direction of Velika Poljana. The path, which continues along the cart track, quickly enters the forest, through which it then ascends transversely. After a few minutes of walking, we come to a panoramic slope, from which a nice view opens up on the surrounding mountains. Only a little further ahead, the cart track turns to the right and brings us, after a short ascent, to the upper edge of Velika Poljana, where there is a marked junction.
We continue left into the forest on the path in the direction of Storžič over Psica (straight Koča na Veliki Poljani). The path starts ascending quite steeply, then turns slightly to the right and the steepness eases somewhat. Such a path soon brings us out of the forest and to a path junction. We head left onto the path over Psica, right leads the easier path to Storžič.
From the junction, the path initially runs across grassy terrain along dwarf pines and rare trees, then enters the forest again and starts ascending steeply. At some points, the path is also somewhat exposed. This is followed by an ascent across a grassy slope along sparse dwarf pines to a panoramic ridge. We ascend for some time along the increasingly exposed ridge, then reach the indistinct summit of Psica. From the summit, we descend slightly, then continue along the exposed ridge. Further on, the path along the ridge ascends and descends several times more, and some fixed protections assist us. Later, the path through Žrelo joins from the left, but we continue along the path by the ridge. In the last part of the path, we ascend steeply several more times, assisted by some fixed protections. A little below the summit, the easiest path to Storžič joins from the right, leading over the mountain pasture Javornik. Only a short ascent along the summit slope of Storžič follows, reaching its summit in a few minutes.
