Dom Pristava v Javorniškem Rovtu - Mala Golica

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, we take the Lipce exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Jesenice. When we come to the traffic-light intersection, where we join the old road, we continue right in the direction of Žirovnica. We follow this road only a short time, because at the next somewhat larger intersection (traffic lights) we continue left in the direction of Javorniški Rovt. The road then goes through the underpass (railway) and then turns left (right Koroška Bela). We follow the road that higher up starts to ascend steeply in the direction of Javorniški Rovt. We then follow the mentioned road to the parking lot near the mountain hut.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the mountain hut, and then we continue the ascent on an at first poorly visible path, which ascends on the left side of the swampy little lake. Ahead a clearly visible and wide path, after 5 minutes of walking, brings us to the road, where there is also a junction.
We continue right in the direction of Golica (left Javorniški Rovt, straight Španov vrh and Jelenkamen) and continue the ascent on the road which first leads us past a larger pond, then turns right and brings us out of the forest. When we step out of the forest, a view opens up towards Struška, Medji dol and part of Belščica. The road, which then moderately ascends, higher returns to the forest and crosses a larger gully, after which we soon arrive at a marked junction.
Here we leave the road which turns left and continues towards Križovec and continue straight on the less driven-on road. From the junction we walk on the road only another two minutes, then the blazes direct us left onto a cart track which begins to ascend more steeply through the forest. After a few minutes of ascent, the path flattens and brings us from the forest onto the meadows of Pust rovta, where we also join the road from Križovec. Here we continue straight on the gently sloping road, along which we quickly arrive at the nearby shepherd's hut.
From the shepherd's hut we continue on the road, which in the upper part of Pust Rovta turns right into the forest. Only a little further we come to a marked junction, where we continue left (slightly right Sedlo Kočna and Struška) on the road which further in a gentle ascent crosses the slopes to the left. A little further, the path from Markljev Rovta joins us from the left, and the road quickly brings us to or just below Sedlo Suha.
From the road we walk in a few steps to the border ridge, then continue the ascent towards the west. Further on, an unmarked but orientationally undemanding path begins first moderately, then steeply ascending along the grassy ridge of Mala Golica. Higher up the path flattens, and it is exactly there that we leave it and continue the ascent to the right, where after a short ascent (i.e. a few dozen steps) across the grassy slope we reach the summit of Mala Golica.
