Dragomer (bajer) - Strmec (above Dragomer) (past Ferjanka)

Access to starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana–Koper motorway, take the Dragomer exit, then continue driving along the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. After approximately 2 km from the point where we turned onto the old road, turn right onto the local road that continues through meadows and fields. After a few hundred metres, arrive at a hamlet of a few houses, where at the intersection turn left, and the road turns right just a few metres further. Continue mostly straight ahead, then at the intersection where there are waste containers, turn left. A short, barely noticeable descent follows and the road takes us to the next intersection. Here continue straight ahead where the markers also direct us. Another good 100 m of driving follows, then park in a suitable place near the next intersection.
b) From the Koper–Ljubljana motorway, take the Vrhnika exit, then continue driving along the parallel old road towards Ljubljana. After 8.5 km from the point where we turned onto the old road, turn left onto the local road that continues through meadows and fields. After a few hundred metres, arrive at a hamlet of a few houses, where at the intersection turn left, and the road turns right just a few metres further. Continue mostly straight ahead, then at the intersection where there are waste containers, turn left. A short, barely noticeable descent follows and the road takes us to the next intersection. Here continue straight ahead where the markers also direct us. Another good 100 m of driving follows, then park in a suitable place near the next intersection.

Route description:
From the starting point continue along the left road, which quickly leads us into the forest where it becomes a cart track. Here is an intersection of five cart tracks; continue right on the marked footpath or along the first right cart track. (If continuing straight or slightly left you also reach Strmec, but there are numerous intersections.)
Both variants soon merge. Continue right and the markers immediately direct us slightly left onto the marked footpath, which ascends somewhat more steeply. Just a little higher we join the first cart track, along which we quickly reach the Ferjanka homestead.
Here continue left past the homestead and the logbook box onto the path going into the forest. Soon we reach a less noticeable junction, where we continue right then immediately left. The path ascends more steeply to the next junction, where we go right and after some 10 metres reach the overgrown summit of Strmec.
