Erjavčeva koča na Vršiču - Prisank / Prisojnik (Jubilejna pot)

From Kranjska Gora on the road which leads over the mountain pass Vršič we drive towards Bovec or vice versa. Between the 22nd and 23rd hairpin turns of the Vršič road we will get to the parking lot below the mountain hut Erjavčeva koča, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot at the mountain hut Erjavčeva koča na Vršiču we go on a footpath in the direction of the mountain hut Poštarski dom and Prisojnik on the Kopiščarjeva pot. The path on which we walk is at first gentle and grassy, then crosses a torrent where a small cold stream usually flows, and behind the torrent it ascends diagonally. We continue on a marked path, which a little ahead crosses the old road, and when we reach it the second time we continue along it to the first right hairpin turn.
From the mentioned hairpin turn we continue straight on a footpath which then crosses slopes towards the left, and from there a nice view opens up towards Ajdovska deklica and surrounding mountains. After crossing some smaller gullies the path temporarily ascends more steeply and brings us to a marked junction, where we continue left (right Poštarski dom na Vršiču).
Next follows a diagonal ascent towards the wall of Prisojnik, still before we reach the wall a path branches off to the right towards the saddle between Prisojnik and Sovna glava.
We continue on the mentioned right path (straight Kopiščarjeva pot on Prisojnik), which further ascends diagonally below the walls of Prisojnik. Higher the slope flattens and after some additional 10 steps we reach a better beaten path from the Vršič pass.
From a smaller saddle we continue left in the direction of Prisojnik (right Sovna glava and Vršič) and continue the path on scree, where we cross slopes on the western side of Prisojnik. The path then ascends somewhat and brings us to a junction, where the ridge path to Prisojnik branches off to the left. We continue straight, the path becomes less steep and we are again very quickly at a junction. This time the Slovenska pot on Prisojnik branches off to the left, and we continue right following the signs for Razor (southern path) and begin to descend slightly. The path then passes onto the southern slopes and crosses slopes towards the east. At some places we are helped by some pegs and steel cables, then we come to grassy slopes. Soon we come to a junction, where we leave the path leading towards Razor and direct ourselves left towards Škrbina (1995m). Immediately behind Škrbina the path becomes more demanding and ascends steeply with the help of steel cables and pegs. The path becomes less demanding for some time, then turns slightly to the right and brings us in front of the hardest part of the path. The path first crosses a vertical slope to the left, then ascends almost vertically towards the last window. This part of the path is very demanding since there are relatively few footholds and the exposure is also great. Next follows a descent into the window, where in early summer there is often still snow, and then an ascent from the window to the northern side, where a view opens into Krnica. Here the path turns to the left and then crosses exposed slopes towards the west for quite some time. When we come again onto the ridge the path becomes less exposed and from the left joins a path that branches off from the Slovenska pot and crosses the southern slopes. Again we pass onto steeper northern slopes and there follows some more exposed crossing, later we steeply ascend and again reach the southern slopes of the mountain. We continue slightly right upwards and soon join the ridge path and Slovenska pot to Prisojnik. From here follows only a shorter ascent on the southern slope to a very panoramic summit.
The Jubilejna pot on Prisojnik is one of the most difficult secured paths on the territory of Slovenia and is suitable only for experienced mountaineers.
The descent is recommended on the Slovenska pot.
