We leave the Pomurska motorway at the Murska Sobota exit, and then we follow the signs Murska Sobota - east. Before the beginning of Murska Sobota, we turn right towards Expano, where we park on a well-maintained parking lot.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk past Expano to the shore of the lake, where we continue right. The path ahead leads us on a walking path, which first leads us past a well-maintained beach, then we arrive at a motor skills park, where we move a little away from the lake shore. A little further, a yellow sign with the inscription SURF and SUP klub Pomurje directs us left onto a beaten footpath, which continues along the lake, but the view of the lake is partly obscured by lush vegetation. The path ahead leads us past the previously mentioned club, from where a nice view of the lake opens up, and the path returns among high grass and bushes. After a few minutes, the path widens and a little further reaches a macadam road, which we follow to the left. We continue on the macadam road, which leads below a low embankment, and the path at the left turn passes from the southeastern shore of the lake to the northeastern shore, where we continue on the macadam road. On the northern edge of the lake, we reach an asphalt road, where at the MOL gas station we go left.
We continue past the Tuš store, then along the edge of the cycle path, which runs along the main road. When we leave the area near the Pomgrad d.d. company, we approach the lake again, and when a passage opens to the left along a path, we continue along the lake. There follow a few minutes of walking, and past the Ribiški dom we arrive at Expano, where we started the trail.
