Access to starting point:
We leave the Highway Maribor-Graz-Salzburg (A9) after a few shorter tunnels outside Graz and continue right on the fast road in the direction of Wien-Bruck/Muhr-Peggau.
We leave the fast road at the exit Frohnleiten and turn left. After the underpass, we turn right onto the parking lot of the railway station, where we park.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we start the path along the sidewalk downhill towards the nearby roundabout and then right through the underpass. We continue straight through the next roundabout. Then we go over the bridge of the river Mur and get to the beginning of the old part of the town Frohnleiten. After the bridge, we follow the road to the left and at the 2nd crossroad turn left again. We continue on a footpath straight past the school center and football field. Soon the path joins the road, where we walk on a sidewalk by the forest to the next crossroad.
At the crossroad, we go right and follow the road upwards past the cemetery. We come to the settlement Adriach.
When we get to the church, a sign directs us left to the beginning of mountain path 532. The asphalted narrow road soon ends and we continue on a macadam road straight through the forest. At the spot where the path splits, we continue straight on a wide panoramic path. At the next splits we stick to the well-marked marked path. All the time we walk on a wide forest path. Occasionally a nice view opens up towards the town Frohnleiten, valley of Mur and surrounding hills. Just below the summit we come out of the forest onto a larger meadow. We overcome the steepest part of the path and get to the summit, where a larger number of benches await us for a deserved rest. The path is easy and well-marked. If we have time, we visit the old part of the town and walk on the promenade by the Mur. From the top we have a nice view towards the valley of Mur and surrounding hills.
