Geschriebenstein Passhöhe - Irrotkő / Geschriebenstein

Access to starting point:
We drive to Rogašovci, then continue driving towards Kuzma. After the settlement of Sotina, the road to Kuzma turns right uphill, but we continue straight towards Austria. While driving through Austria, we first follow the signs for Jennersdorf, Güssing, then to the settlement of St. Michael im Burgenland, where we turn right towards the settlement of Großpetersdorf. After the mentioned settlement, we reach the main road Sombotel / Szombathely - Oberwart / Felsőőr, which we follow to the right towards Hungary. We leave the mentioned main road at the exit for Rechnitz, drive to the mentioned place, from where we continue towards the Geschriebenstein Passhöhe pass. We park on the gravel parking lot on the left, western side of the pass.

Route description:
From the parking lot, first carefully cross the main road, then head to the path towards the Geschriebenstein summit. The path initially leads past a chapel, then we gently ascend along a wider path. After a while, we arrive at a small junction where a path branches off to the left towards the settlement of Lockenhaus, and a bit further another path towards the settlement of Rechnitz. From both junctions, continue straight and within a few minutes of further walking arrive at the summit, which is located on the border between Austria and Hungary.
