Gornja Radgona (OŠ Gornja Radgona) - Viewpoint Kapela (via Piramida)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave Pomurska highway at exit Lenart v Slovenskih goricah, and then we follow the road in the direction of Gornja Radgona. When we get to Gornja Radgona, in the center of the town we turn right in the direction of bus stop, cemetery and primary school. After the bus stop, the road starts ascending, and we are driving there to a larger parking lot between primary school Gornja Radgona and cemetery Gornja Radgona.
B) We drive to Radenci, and then we follow the road towards Gornja Radgona, where in the center of the town we turn sharply left towards the bus stop, primary school and cemetery. After the bus stop, the road starts ascending, and we are driving there to a larger parking lot between primary school Gornja Radgona and cemetery Gornja Radgona.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road or sidewalk ahead, where we go past a religious symbol with Jesus and Mary, and only a little further at the sign with the caption "Prepovedana hoja po opornem zidu" (No walking on the retaining wall) we go slightly right on a side road, and at the nearby crossroad, we go once again right.
When right below us we see town cemetery, before the sign Radgonska ranina we go left through the door, where we get among vineyards. The path ahead leads us on a grassy cart track which is with increasingly beautiful views ascending among vineyards, and at the crossings we follow the path which continues upwards. Higher, we get by the edge of the forest, and a little ahead also to the nearby house which we bypass on the left side, and immediately after the house we go right and we step on the road. On the road, we go left downwards to a small saddle, where there are few more houses.
Here we leave the road which turns left downwards and we continue straight, and we bypass houses on the left side. Next follows few minutes of a light ascent and we get to the inscription box on Piramida.
We bypass the pyramid on the left side and by the edge of the forest we descend to the spot, where on the right we notice a door on the fence through which we go on the other side and then we descend through the forest, and at the crossing, we go sharply right. Next follows some descent on a marked pathless terrain, and then we reach a footpath which we follow to the left. A little further, we step out of the forest, where we step on the road and where we go past few houses. On this part, a nice view opens up towards Golica / Koralpe, and at the nearby crossroad, we go right downwards on the forest road. A short time we are lightly descending, and then we go from the road left upwards on a marked path, which crosses a lane of a forest and then it brings us to a field, by which we continue. The path ahead leads us by another field, and we follow the signs of Pomurje mountain trail. Further, we for some time walk on an overgrown cart track, and at hamlet it at first widens, after that changes into a road, where we follow the blazes. We eventually reach a little wider road which we follow upwards (if we continue downwards we reach Lomanoše), and through a lane of a forest we ascend to a smaller saddle, where there is a crossroad.
To the right continues a marked path which leads towards Apače, and we go left and we ascend on the road, by which there are some local blazes. Next follows a diagonal ascent on a macadam road, and at a smaller crossroad, we go sharply right. The path ahead leads us past few more houses, and then on the asphalt road we in few minutes descent to a marked crossing, where we join a little shorter path which leads over Norički Vrh.
Here we go right, and a little ahead at the stop sign, we go slightly right, and even a little further at the transformer and a bigger chapel we go left. At the next crossroad, where on the stop sign there is a little ambiguously placed trail blaze, we go left and we continue on the asphalt road which passes into the forest (right - tourist farm Roškar and Anina klet). When we leave the forest, follows crossing of panoramic slopes, and when we return on an indistinct ridge, we get to the village Zbigovci.
In Zbigovci at the smaller unmarked crossroad we go slightly left, so that we continue on a path Trstenjakova pot. For some time we then continue straight, and from a little bigger crossroad at the religious symbol and information board of Natura 2000 we go left. Again follows a little bit of a descent, and when from the left joins another road from Gornja Radgona or Črešnjevci we go slightly right. The path ahead gets close to a lookout tower, which is privately owned and which we bypass on the left side (right - Rodmošci and the path Trstenjakova pot). Next follows some easy walking and we get to the settlement Orehovski Vrh, where we continue straight. Next follows some descent, and signs for Pomurje mountain trail quickly point us to the right towards a smaller hamlet, where we bypass the houses on the right side. The path ahead leads us on a cart track which passes into the forest, and after few minutes of ascent, we leave the forest and past the nearby house we reach the macadam road, on which we ascend steeper to the asphalt road. We follow the road to the left (right - Stavešinski Vrh) and we continue walking through the settlement Ptujska Cesta. A little after the inn Ajda we leave the asphalt and we go slightly right on a macadam road which leads us right from the nearby houses.
At the inn, pizzeria and brewery Kostanj we reach a little wider road, and we follow it to the right. When the mentioned road turns a little to the right, we leave it and past the chapel we get into municipality Radenci. We continue among individual houses and vineyards, and blazes from the main path point us to the left on a side road, and before the nearby house we go right. We short time continue on the macadam road, and then we return on the asphalt road, where at the crossroad we continue left (right - Očeslavci). The path ahead leads us through Janžev Vrh, from where beautiful views are opening up.
Next follows few crossroads, where we follow the blazes or signs for Kapelski Vrh, and in a gentle descent, we then reach the village Kobilščak. We still follow the blazes and a little further we get to the village Radenski Vrh, and from where already a nice view opens up towards the church of St. Marija Magdalena or vantage point Kapela.
Further past the sports field Kapela we reach the road Radenci - Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, and we follow it to the right. The path ahead leads us on a sidewalk, and a little ahead on the pedestrian crossing we carefully cross it.
On the other side of the road, we lightly ascend, we then cross also the side road, and on the other side, we go right and then immediately left on a steeper narrower asphalt path, on which with increasingly beautiful views we ascend to the church of St. Marija Magdalena on 312 meters high hill.
