From the old road Delnice - Reka (Lujzijana) / Rijeka (Lujzijana) we drive to the crossroad for Gornje Jelenje, where we park at a suitable place. Nearby are located trail markers and a road sign for the settlement Gornje Jelenje, which we reach after 1.5 km of walking.
Route description:
From the main road, the footpath at first leads between holiday cottages; after approximately 20 minutes of walking, we reach a marked crossroad, from which we go right in the direction of the peak Tuhobić (left Izviđački dom).
Here, the footpath passes into the forest and starts visibly ascending; after approximately 10 minutes, it turns sharply left (here we must be careful not to continue straight). Next follows a walk through a beautiful forest on a well-maintained and excellently marked hiking path. After 20 minutes, the footpath passes onto the ridge of Tuhobić, where it becomes steep but still continues through the forest, occasionally offering a beautiful view that reaches all the way to the sea. After half an hour, we step out of the forest onto a grassy slope, from which wonderful views open up. Next follows 20 more minutes of easy walking, and we reach the top of Tuhobić, from which a view opens up on the surrounding peaks, Kvarner Bay, and the sea.

Ok, we haven't had such a bad description on hribi.net yet. Let's try, maybe we'll do better. From the direction of delnice-jelenje, about 1km before Jelenje a forest road branches off to the left (from Rijeka of course about 1km after Jelenje to the right). Nearby you can leave the car by the road, or you can continue along the forest road about 1.5km inside. Where the road turns sharply 180 degrees left, you can park. There is also a junction there. One path goes straight into the forest, or you can continue along the forest road about 2km, then the path turns straight up. Well, if at the previously mentioned bend you continue along the forest path, you slowly ascend. You come back to the road and there follows that sharp left turn. Be careful here, a little further the path branches off under the vlak and joins it again a little later. Or you can go along the vlak. At the end of the vlak the path turns right and then ascends along the right side of the ridge. The markings are slightly faded, but the path is narrow. You ascend along the right side of the ridge, and when you come out of the forest, a steep variant joins from the left. The signs show Jelenje (gentle ridge) or Izviđački dom (steep). From there it is another 5 minutes to the summit across the meadows

To emphasize, two paths are possible. Along the ridge, or along the road past the Izviđački dom and another approx. 2km, then straight up. We descended the latter one, it is as steep as a dog, and due to forestry work it was also covered with stones and branches. The one along the ridge is nicer, as the original description says.
