Access to starting point:
From Razdrto we drive on the highway towards Nova Gorica or vice versa and we go to the exit Vipava. We follow the road ahead, towards Vipava and Gradišče. In the village Gradišče we notice the first mountain signposts, which we follow to a larger parking lot above the village Gradišče.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we go on the path in the direction of Gradiška Tura and Abram. Initially a wide and gently sloping path quickly brings us to the first crossing, where we continue straight (right St. Miklavž). After a few additional steps of walking, the path brings us to scree, over which we diagonally ascend onto bushy slopes. The path ahead ascends steeper and steeper and soon brings us to the next crossing, where we continue on the right, much easier but still partly demanding path. The path then immediately crosses a short but well-secured exposed ledge, behind which we ascend onto panoramic Oltar. From Oltar we still continue on a steep path, which is in parts secured with a steel cable or iron spikes. The steepness then gradually decreases and the path brings us to the spot where from the left joins the climbing path. Further we continue on the path which occasionally still relatively steeply ascends, over some shorter rocky jump. A little below the summit on a rock we notice an interesting verse, behind which after a few steps we step onto the summit.

Discussion about the trip Gradišče - Gradiška Tura (easier variant)

Saturday 7.3.2009.. Chose the climbing route. For those used to alpine via ferratas, ''piece of cake''.. Continued to Abram and back via Plaz to the starting point. Nice trip in nice weather.velik nasmeh

Saturday 7.3.2009. The Saturday trip along the described path was pleasant. The path to the junction where the climbing and hiking paths meet is a bit steeper. The view of the valley is magnificent, especially in nice weather as it was on Saturday.Recommended to all who like somewhat steeper and partly climbing paths.mežikanje

We two also hiked the easier variant of Gradiška Tura on Saturday, continuing to Abram and to Vojkova koča and return along the lower path past the hunting hut and descent towards Gradišče. Very nice trip, magnificent views.

This trail should not be underestimated either, especially by less experienced hikers.

From the starting point of both trails to the end it drags on a bit.

Can someone tell me if this tour is quite demanding? I'd go with my wife, but she's more of a beginner.

There are some steel cables, but the path is actually very easy. Only the descent is tricky because there's lots of scree on the ground and you have to watch how and where you step.

Thanks. Is it suitable for older children, around 15 years? Or is it safer if my wife and I go alone?

If you've hiked the steep path to Nanos, there won't be problems. The easier variant of Gradiška Tura and the steep path to Nanos are quite comparable, except of course the views, which from the steep path are incomparable to the easier variant of Gradiška Tura... I think it's suitable also for older children - for everyone of course with a via ferrata kit and obligatory helmet... And enjoy the ascent and nice rest on the way...

hi! I thought of going up Furlanova pot to the mountains and back easier variant. Would that return (on that path) be possible? Thanks in advance!

Without any problems. Just go...

Is it suitable for a 10-year-old?

The two of us climbed the footpath today. It's routed steeply all the way. Near the chapel of St. Nicholas. Some snow on top. Afternoon almost calm. We descended the same path and went to the chapel too. In dusk to the campsite start. Never happened to me to see hawks flying there. And Triglav was visible from the top of Gradiška Tura. Clear sky.
