Gradiška Tura

Description of mountain:
Gradiška Tura is a prominent 754-meter peak rising at the far western edge of the Nanos plateau directly above the Vipava Valley. Thanks to its exceptionally sunny position and proximity to Camp Tura, the summit is visited year-round. Climbers know it mainly for two sport via ferratas: the easier Furlan Route (grade B/C) and the more demanding, steeper Otmar Route (grade C/D), which can be combined at will into a single climb. Two easier, classically marked trails also lead to the top for less experienced hikers. From the summit there is a magnificent, unobstructed view over the entire Vipava Valley, Trstelj, Čaven and the Golaki hills.
