Access to starting point:
From the Vipava motorway we turn onto the Vipava exit. After leaving the motorway we continue along the old road towards Vipava. Before reaching the town a marked road branches off to the right towards the village Gradišče pri Vipavi. We continue ascending through the village and follow the signs for Kamp Tura and Gradiška Tura. Once above the village we reach the mentioned camp and the larger parking area where we park.
Route description:
From the parking lot we follow the marked footpath towards Gradiška Tura, Abram and sv. Miklavž. After a short ascent the path turns right, levels out and leads us to a marked junction. From the junction we continue straight ahead (left Gradiška Tura and Furlanovo zavetišče pri Abramu) and proceed in the direction of sv. Miklavž (on the signs Sv. Miklav). We ascend steadily south to south-east, passing several turn-offs to nearby climbing areas. At all junctions we keep straight on and continue across the slopes of Gradiška Tura and later Podraška Tura. A short descent follows, after which we climb to the little church of sv. Miklavž where a registration box with a visitors’ book is located.
From the church we continue along a poorer road that begins to descend gently. After a short descent a track branches off slightly to the right towards Podnanos; we keep straight on the road that passes a small spring (the spring is 20 metres from the path). The road undulates moderately several times and then brings us to a marked junction where a path to Abram branches left (path over Konj), a path down to Podnanos branches right, and we continue straight ahead. A little further on another path from Podnanos joins from the right; we follow the poorer road until we reach the asphalt road leading to Nanos. We meet the road exactly at a pronounced hairpin bend and begin to ascend it with increasingly fine views. We stay on the road until the next bend, after which the waymarks direct us right onto a footpath that climbs more steeply. The well-marked path returns to the road higher up, leaves it again after a few minutes and crosses it once more a little higher. The route continues past a large chapel visible from afar. Just above the chapel we reach a marked junction and continue left towards the hunting lodge (right upwards Vojkova koča past Strmec, right downwards Lozice and Podnanos via Brižnik).
We continue ascending moderately on the wide path and after a good 10 minutes of further walking reach the hunting lodge Vojkovo.
