Grahovše - Planina Zgornja Konjščica (by road)

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Ljubelj (Tržič), then just before the gas station at Bistrica pri Tržiču, turn right towards Tržič. Continue through Tržič in the direction of Dolžanova soteska, then only a little before the end of the town continue right upward in the direction of the villages Čadovlje, Lom and Grahovše. On the ascending road at the crossroads follow the signs for Dom pod Storžičem, and follow them to a large marked parking lot by the quarry in Grahovše.

Route description:
From the parking lot we continue ahead on the road along which we have parked and already after a few steps we come to two crossroads. In the first crossroads we continue straight (right over the bridge is the village), in the second we come to mountain signposts. Here we turn left on the upper path with signs Javornik, Stegovnik and Bela peč.
The road here starts moderately ascending and leads us in places over scenic meadows. The road then brings us to the next crossroads, where we go left again (right farm Rekar). The road then crosses private land, where there is wood, and soon after that it reaches the next junction. We turn onto the left road and follow it to the spot where to the right branches off the marked path to the mountain pasture Spodnja Konjščica.
The path ahead goes into the forest, ascends steeply and after a good 20 minutes of further walking brings us to the road. When we step on the road, to the left branches off the marked path to the viewpoint "na Boštu" (5 minutes), and we continue right on the road, which after a short ascent brings us out of the forest onto the extensive mountain pasture Spodnja Konjščica, on which there are two smaller shepherd huts.
From the hut we continue on the mountain pasture slightly upward and the path again brings us into the forest. After a short ascent through the forest we reach the mountain pasture Zgornja Konjščica, from which a nice view opens up on Storžič.
