Halmac - Križica (via mountain hut)

Access to starting point:
From highway Rupa - Rijeka or Zagreb - Rijeka we drive towards Rijeka, and from there we follow the signs for island Krk. When the highway ends, we descend to Krk Bridge. On island Krk we then follow the signs for island Cres and Lošinj and ferry port Valbiska. At the mentioned port we then go with the ferry to the settlement Merag on island Cres (126 kunas – July 2020). On island Cres we then follow the signs for Mali Lošinj. In the settlement Osor through a smaller bridge we reach island Lošinj. We still follow the main road, near the settlement Nerezine to the right a narrow road branches off towards the settlement Halmac. We go on the mentioned road which is further ascending and becomes a macadam. We follow the road to the last houses where on the left side of the road there is a smaller parking lot.

Path description:
From a smaller parking lot we continue on the road also past the last house, and then the road turns in the forest and passes into a footpath. We follow the blazes and the path further leads along the fence mostly towards the north. Here the path is not that steep and occasionally also a view opens up towards the mountain range Osoršćica. We still walk on a mostly gentle path and we follow the signs for Tržić.
The path further few times also slightly ascends and then brings us to a crossing of several paths. To the right lead the paths into the valley towards the camp Lopari and settlement Osor, and we continue on the far left path and we follow the signs for Tržić and Osoršćica. The path then along the stone fence soon brings us to abandoned village Tržić where we will by the path notice some ruins. We still continue straight and the path brings us to a marked crossing where from the right side joins the path from the settlement Osor.
We continue slightly left and follow the signs for mountain hut and the peak Televrina. From the crossing a not very steep path runs towards the west and after approximately 15 minutes brings us to the next marked crossing. Here to the left a more direct path branches off towards the summit Televrina, and we continue right towards the mountain hut.
Further, the path twice for a short time joins the road, and then it again runs on a footpath through the low forest and bushes. The path then brings us into a little more dense forest, where there is also a bench and a nice place to rest.
Further, the forest is becoming thinner and also nice views start opening up towards the sea. After that, the footpath once again crosses the road and is then for some time ascending by bushes and low trees. Such a path then soon brings us to the mountain hut from where a very nice view opens up also towards the west.
From the mountain hut, we continue on the macadam road towards the south where also signposts for the peak Televrina and Sveti Nikola point us to. We for some time continue on the road which is still slightly ascending towards the south, and then we get to a marked crossing.
Caption on rock "Križ" points us to the right on a footpath towards the summit Križica. From the crossing where we already see the cross on the top, we ascend a little steeper on a slope partly vegetated with low bushes. Such a path then in few minutes brings us to panoramic peak.
