HE Ožbalt - Hlebov vrh (Rdeči Breg)

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd we drive to the intersection at the bus stop HE Ožbalt, which is located near the HE Ožbalt hydropower plant between the settlement Ožbalt and Lovrenški most bridge. At the starting point there are no designated parking spots for hikers.

Path description:
From the bus stop, we head onto the marked path in the direction of Rdeči Breg and Hunting cottage Klančnik and quickly descend along the road to HE Ožbalt, where a fence blocks the path.
We use the bell to arrange passage through the HE Ožbalt hydropower plant area, and on the other side of the Drava River we go right, over the fence once again.
The path ahead leads between the railway and the Drava River, a little further we carefully cross the railway track and continue on the marked path that rises above the railway. This is followed by some diagonal ascent across a steep slope, after which the slope temporarily flattens. A little further ahead, we go left and steeply ascend to a smaller ridge, where the path turns right and descends to the nearby road. We follow the road left uphill, at intersections following the blazes. We then ascend along the road for quite some time, running along Kapusov graben, and when we reach the saddle between Jurčičev vrh (838 m) on the left and Klančnik (877 m) on the right, we go right in the direction of Rdeči Breg and Hunting cottage Klančnik (straight to Puščava and Lovrenc na Pohorju), ascending along a cart track. Higher up, we cross a poor macadam road, behind it continuing to ascend the cart track for some time. Higher up the cart track narrows, and the blazes direct us left, where we exit the forest, then along the edge of the forest reach the Klančnik peak in a few minutes.
From the summit we continue slightly left and descend the panoramic grassy slope to the nearby Hunting cottage Klančnik in a few minutes.
From the hunting cottage we continue in the direction of sv. Ignacij (left downhill one of the paths to Lovrenc na Pohorju) and after one minute of further walking arrive at the road, along which we continue a gentle to moderate descent. After about 15 minutes of descent we arrive at a small saddle by the Hudej homestead, where the road becomes asphalt. We continue straight and at the cross a path joins from the left past the Brabar homestead (starting point Lovrenc na Pohorju or Janževski Vrh).
The path ahead also leads past the Žumar homestead, behind it from the intersection we continue slightly right toward sv. Ignacij. We continue along the macadam road that crosses a strip of forest, then with fine views on the right side we bypass the Hleb homestead, behind it quickly arriving at the church of sv. Ignacij.
Before the church we turn right off the road and walk to the forest, through which we continue along a cart track to the summit a few minutes away.
