HE Ožbalt - Sveti Ignacij (Rdeči Breg)

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd we drive to a crossroad at the bus stop HE Ožbalt, which is situated near the hydropower plant HE Ožbalt, the latter between the settlement Ožbalt and the bridge Lovrenški most. At the starting point, there are no arranged parking spots for mountaineers.

Path description:
From the bus stop, we head onto the marked path in the direction of Rdeči Breg and Lovska koča Klančnik and quickly descend along the road to HE Ožbalt, where a fence blocks the path.
We ring the bell and arrange passage through the area of the hydropower plant HE Ožbalt, and on the other side of the river Drava we go right, once again over the fence.
The path ahead leads between the railway and the river Drava, a little further ahead we carefully cross the railway track and continue along the marked path, which ascends above the railway. There follows some diagonal ascent over a steep slope, then the slope temporarily flattens. A little further, we go left and steeply ascend to a smaller ridge, where the path turns right and descends to the nearby road. We follow the road left uphill, at crossroads following the blazes. Further on, we ascend along the road for a longer time, which runs along Kapusov graben, when we reach the saddle between Jurčičev vrh (838 m) on the left and Klančnik (877 m) on the right, we go right in the direction of Rdeči Breg and Lovska koča Klančnik (straight Puščava and Lovrenc na Pohorju), where we ascend along a cart track. Higher up, we cross a poor macadam road, behind it we ascend along the cart track for some time. Higher up the cart track narrows, the blazes direct us left, where we step out of the forest, then along the edge of the forest in a few minutes we reach the summit Klančnik.
From the summit we continue slightly left and along a panoramic grassy slope in a few minutes descend to the nearby Lovska koča Klančnik.
From the hunting lodge we continue in the direction towards sv. Ignacij (left downhill one of the paths towards Lovrenc na Pohorju) and after a minute of further walking we arrive at the road, along which we continue with a light to moderate descent. After approximately 15 minutes of descent we arrive at a smaller saddle at the homestead Hudej, where the road becomes asphalted. We continue straight and at the cross a path joins from the left past the homestead Brabar (starting point Lovrenc na Pohorju or Janževski Vrh).
The path ahead also leads past the homestead Žumar, behind it from the crossroads we continue slightly right towards sv. Ignacij. We continue along the macadam road, which crosses a strip of forest, then with nice views on the right side we also bypass the homestead Hleb, behind it we quickly arrive at the church sv. Ignacij.
