Hebalm (Gasthaus Zur Rehbockhütte) - Albrecht Kapelle (at Schrogentor)

Access to starting point:
a) We leave the highway MP Šentilj - Graz at the Lebring exit, then follow the signs for Lonč / Deutschlandsberg. When we arrive in Lonč, we follow the signs for Hebalm, and then we start noticeably ascending towards the Hebalm ski resort. When we reach the Kluglifte Hebalm ski lift, on the right by the inn Gasthaus Zur Rehbockhütte, we park on a larger macadam parking lot, or we can also park on the parking lot on the other side of the road.
b) From the highway Klagenfurt am Wörthersee - Graz, we take the Packsattel exit, then follow the signs for Klagenfurt, Lonč / Deutschlandsberg, and Preitenegg. There follows some descent, then we turn left from the main road towards Lonč and Hebalm. Further on, we start ascending again and higher up we reach the Hebalm ski resort, but we continue driving a little further, so we already start descending towards Lonč. When we arrive at the inn Gasthaus Zur Rehbockhütte, we turn right or left and park on a large parking lot opposite the inn or by the inn.

Route description:
From the parking lot by the inn Gasthaus Zur Rehbockhütte, we head onto the road towards the hut Freiländerhütte, initially walking northeast. From the road, we soon turn slightly left onto a parallel mountain path, and after a small self-service bar, we return to the road, along which we gently ascend. Further on, from two smaller crossroads, we continue straight, and when we notice the hut Freiländerhütte on the right, we turn right onto a side road, reaching the mentioned hut after 100 meters of additional walking.
At the hut, signs for Großofen and Modriach direct us left, and we return to a slightly wider road, which leads us into the area of new wind turbine construction (data from December 2024), where we keep to the right directions. A little further, the path splits again, and during the construction of wind turbines, marked bypasses were provided.
We continue straight (left for Großofen and Modriach) and proceed slightly to the right of the construction area, later gradually descending diagonally with views of the nearby Schwarzkogel, where some wind turbines already stand. When the road on the slopes of the peak Münzerkogel turns sharply to the right, we continue straight onto a cart track, marked with signs for Schrogentor and Reinischkogel.
Next follows a diagonal descent along the cart track, and lower down, a view temporarily opens up to Rosenkogel (1362 m), with the view extending to Pohorje in good weather.
A little further, a path from the settlement St. Oswald and Freiland joins from the right, and we continue straight along the path, which gradually flattens. Next follows a short, easy descent through the forest, and upon leaving the forest, we arrive at a pasture by the saddle Schrogentor, where we notice a newer hut slightly to the right.
We bypass the hut by the pasture on the lower right side and continue walking along the macadam road, which we leave a few minutes later at a marked crossing, continuing left following the signs for Reinischkogel (straight for Reinischwirt, Bad Gams, and Stainz). Next follows a short ascent, and we reach a spot where signs for Albrecht Kapelle direct us right onto an unmarked footpath, leading to the chapel in the forest after approximately 70 meters of additional walking.
