Hotel Plesnik - Icmanikova planina (via Plesnikova planina)

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Logarska dolina (entrance fee for a personal car 7 EUR (July 2016)), then we drive to the intersection where signs for Hotel Plesnik direct us slightly to the left (slightly to the right Slap Rinka). From the intersection, we drive another few hundred meters, then we park on the parking lot near the hotel.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue on a narrower asphalt road which past the tree Plesnik's elm in a few minutes brings us to the farmhouse Ojstrica, where we continue left in the direction of Plesnikova planina, Strelovec and Koča na Klemenči jami (path through Plesnikova planina). A little further, we arrive at Tourist Farm Plesnik, a little further to the end of the drivable road at the farm outbuilding, where red signposts direct us right onto a cart track, on which with nice views we ascend to the forest. At the nearby junction of cart tracks we continue left, then we follow the blazes, which on a quite overgrown path bring us to a wider macadam road. On the road we walk to the right bend, there we look for the continuation of the marked path. The marked path, which recently is quite overgrown, a little higher returns to the road, on the road we walk to the intersection, where we continue right. A few 10 steps behind the intersection the blazes lead us left to a short ladder, behind it we step onto an overgrown path. Higher we cross the continuing worse road a few more times, the path we walk on some overgrown clearings or clearcuts is entirely overgrown and among the bushes barely traceable. Higher a nice view opens up on the peaks above Logarska dolina a few times, we cross a few more cart tracks, then past a trough with water we step out of the forest onto the lower part of Plesnikova planina. When we step out of the forest a short ascent follows and we arrive at Plesnikov stan on Plesnikova planina.
From Plesnikova planina we continue left in the direction of Strelovec (right Koča na Klemenči jami), where the path first leads to the eastern part of the planina, where at the entrance into the forest we notice a footpath which continues transversely through the forest. When we are in the forest we cross a gently sloping cart track, then a descent of a few steps follows to a more pronounced cart track, which we also just cross, but the continuation of the footpath is a little harder to find. Soon after leaving the cart track a slightly overgrown path leads us across a smaller gully, then for some time it crosses the slopes towards the north, then the path begins to turn right and approach the second gully. The descent into the mentioned gully is quite dangerous, as the slippery path leads us on a slightly exposed slope quite steeply downward. On the other side we leave the gully without difficulty, then after a short ascent we reach the next cart track. On the cart track we ascend for a short time, then the blazes direct us slightly left onto a marked footpath, which begins to approach the next torrent gully. The descent into the mentioned gully is easy, we reach it right at some kind of "confluence". The path continues along the left gully, the ascent from it is somewhat awkward, as the footpath steeply ascends from it, then quickly flattens and turns left, where in a few minutes we reach the marked junction where we join the path over Rkljeva peč.
We continue right in the direction of Strelovec on an initially moderately steep path, which soon stands upright and ascends quite steeply for a few minutes. The footpath quickly flattens, then in a moderate ascent brings us to Icmanikov stan, behind which we step onto a cart track. On the cart track or the parallel mountain path we ascend in five minutes to the saddle and junction on Icmanikova planina, over which a relatively new forest road leads and from which a nice view opens up.
