A) We drive to Črna na Koroškem, then follow the signs for Koprivna and Podpeca. For some time we drive along the river Meža, then at the crossroads turn right towards Podpeca, Dom na Peci and Koča na Pikovem. In Podpeca the asphalt ends, and we follow the signs for Dom na Peci. Higher up, at the saddle Vrh šteng, the road from Mežica joins from the right, we continue following the signs for Dom na Peci, and in some places notice "avtocesta" signs. We continue driving on the macadam road, at the last crossroads follow the signs for the parking lot. We follow the mentioned road to its end, where we park at the Jakobe parking lot.
B) We drive to Luče (to here from Mozirje or from Kamnik over the pass Volovljek (Kranjski Rak)), then continue driving towards Logarska dolina. In the village Solčava we leave the main road towards Logarska dolina and continue driving right towards Podolševa, the pass Spodnje Sleme and Črna na Koroškem. Further on the road loses its asphalt surface, and after a few kilometres at the crossroads in Podolševa we turn right towards Črna na Koroškem. The road, which further on mainly rises transversely, brings us after some time to the pass Spodnje Sleme. From the pass the road starts descending, and we follow it towards Črna na Koroškem. When after a few kilometres we descend into the valley, at the crossroads we turn right towards Črna na Koroškem (left Koprivna). We descend along the main road towards Črna na Koroškem, and the road first takes us past the turn-off into the valley Tople, a little lower also to the turn-off of the road towards Podpeca, Koča na Pikovem and Dom na Peci. We continue on the mentioned road, which quickly brings us to Podpeca.
C) We drive to Mežica, where we follow the signs for Peca. Further on we drive towards the border crossing Mežica, still before the border crossing we turn left onto the road towards Peca. Higher up, at the saddle Vrh šteng, the road from Podpeca joins from the left, and we follow the signs for Dom na Peci, in some places noticing "avtocesta" signs. We continue driving on the macadam road, at the last crossroads follow the signs for the parking lot. We follow the mentioned road to its end, where we park at the Jakobe parking lot.
Path description:
From the parking lot we continue following the signs for Dom na Peci and continue the path on the cart track right upward. After a short ascent we come to a junction, where we continue right and continue ascending on the cart track. The cart track then gradually becomes less steep and we soon leave it. The blazes direct us left onto a footpath, on which we then ascend for some time through the forest. The path through the forest then brings us back to a narrower cart track, where we continue right and reach Dom na Peci in approximately 5 minutes of further walking.
From Dom na Peci we head onto the footpath towards Mala Peca or onto the path towards Kordeževa glava. After less than ten minutes of ascent both paths join, and we continue on the marked path, which further ascends up the meadow and brings us to a marked junction.
We head onto the right path in the direction of the demanding path (which it is not), while left leads the very demanding path to Peca. The right path is easy and has not a single difficult spot! Our easier right path then soon brings us past a bench among the dwarf pines, through which we then ascend. The ascent further proceeds on a moderately steep slope with ever better views. After some time the path brings us to a grassy plateau, where the climbing path joins from the left. Only the final ascent to the summit of Kordeževa glava follows, whose summit we reach after a few minutes of further walking on an undemanding slope.
From Kordeževa glava we continue on the marked path, which starts moderately descending towards Knipsovo sedlo. After approximately 20 minutes of descent we come to the information boards on the mentioned saddle, where the path from the valley Topla joins from the left.
We continue straight on the moderately steep path, to which a little higher joins the marked path from the ski area Peca / Petzen (ski area on the Austrian side of the mountain). We continue the ascent on the panoramic slope, and the path after a few minutes of further walking brings us to the grass-covered Končnikov vrh.
The path ahead again starts descending and a little further leaves the state border and then continues only on the Austrian side. A pleasant walk with some descents and ascents follows all the way to the summit head of Bistriška špica. Here the path starts ascending more steeply and brings us in a few minutes of further walking to the panoramic summit, in the middle of which stands a larger cross.
