Access to starting point:
We drive to Poljane nad Škofjo Loko, from where at the traffic-light intersection we continue in the direction of the settlement Javorje. When Poljane end, the road leads us through Volča, and after the mentioned settlement, the road begins to ascend more steeply. Higher up, we also go through Dolenčice, and then we already arrive in Javorje, where we park on the parking lot near the branch primary school Javorje.
Path description:
From the parking lot, in front of which we find some basic information about the Javorje meteorite (the Javorje meteorite is the 3rd found meteorite on the territory of Slovenia), we continue past the primary school, and behind the school signs point us to the left. Next follows an ascent on an asphalt footpath, and a little higher we return to the asphalt road, which we follow to the left. Along the road, from which beautiful views open up, we quickly arrive at a marked intersection from which we continue right in the direction of Škofja Loka, Stari vrh and sv. Brikcij (left Blegoš, Žetina and church of the Assumption of Mary).
Some 10 meters further, the road splits once again, and we continue sharply left (straight Četena Ravan and Koča na Starem vrhu). The path ahead ascends past a few houses, and behind them the asphalt ends and we continue first on a macadam road, later on a cart track. At the junctions we follow the yellow-green blazes, and the path leads us for a few minutes through the forest. When the forest ends we reach a smaller hamlet, and we continue right in the direction towards Podvrh. Next follows a shorter ascent, and then the wide cart track levels out and with nice views of Mladi and Stari vrh we reach the village Podvrh, where we go left, at the ecological island once again left, this time in the direction of Mladi and Stari vrh. For a short time we still continue on the road, and then at the traffic sign that prohibits further driving, we continue slightly right on a footpath that ascends through the forest and along which we notice some older blazes. Soon we cross a macadam road, and then we continue on a steep cart track that ascends through the forest. Higher, at the junction of cart tracks we continue right and begin to ascend transversely towards the saddle Prehodi, which we reach after a few minutes of further walking.
At Prehodi there is a marked junction, from which we continue sharply left towards Mladi vrh, Koprivnik and Blegoš (right Stari vrh).
The path ahead ascends through the forest and mostly runs along the forested southeastern ridge of Mladi vrh. Higher we follow the blazes, and the ridge turns a little to the right, so we continue walking towards the north. Next follows a few minutes of ascent and the path brings us to Mladi vrh, where there is a bench and from which some views open up.
