Kloster (Reinischwirt) - Gasthaus Zur Rehbockhütte

Access to starting point:
a) Highway MP Šentilj - Graz we leave at exit Lebring, and then we follow the signs for Lonč / Deutschlandsberg. When we arrive in Lonč, we follow the signs for Hebalm, and then we start visibly ascending towards the Hebalm ski slope. When we reach the settlements of St. Oswald and Freiland, we turn sharply right towards the settlement of Salleg and the panoramic road Bad Gamser Panoramastraße. Next, we traverse to the right along a narrower road, and upon reaching a crossroad where the road sharply branches off to the left towards the organic farm Reinischwirt, the described path begins. At the starting point, there are no designated parking spaces, but it is possible to park in a suitable spot by the road, ensuring we do not obstruct anyone.
b) From the highway Klagenfurt am Wörthersee - Graz, we take the exit Packsattel, and then we follow the signs for Klagenfurt, Deutschlandsberg, and Preitenegg. Next follows some descent, and then we turn left from the main road towards Lonč and Hebalm. Further on, we start ascending again and higher up we reach the Hebalm ski slope, but we continue driving a little further, so we already start descending towards Lonč. When we reach the settlements of St. Oswald and Freiland, we turn left towards the settlement of Salleg and the panoramic road Bad Gamser Panoramastraße. Next, we traverse to the right along a narrower road, and upon reaching a crossroad where the road sharply branches off to the left towards the organic farm Reinischwirt, the described path begins. Path description:
From the spot where we parked, we first walk to the farm Reinischwirt and continue straight in the direction of Schrogentor (to the right Reinischkogel). After the farm, we cross a grazing fence and continue walking on an initially panoramic road; after the bench, the road turns sharply to the right and enters the forest, where it then turns back to the left. Then follows a few minutes of diagonal ascent, and higher up we go left at two crossroads, after a trough with water we reach a marked crossing, from which we continue straight (right Reinischkogel).
Only a little further, we leave the forest and arrive at the mountain hut, which is situated below the saddle Schrogentor, the saddle itself being only a few minutes ahead.
Between the mountain hut and the saddle, we go slightly left from a smaller crossing and, after crossing a grazing fence, pass into the forest. Next follows a shorter ascent and then a gentle descent through the forest, where the path leads us along a cart track; when we reach a poorer road, we arrive at the next crossing, from which we go straight in the direction of the mountain huts Freiländerhütte and Rehbockhütte (left St. Oswald and Freiland).
Next follows a somewhat longer, fairly steep diagonal ascent along a cart track; higher up, after a short panoramic section, the path flattens, and we reach a wider macadam road, which we follow straight or slightly right (slightly left leads to a longer path along the summit Schwarzkogel). Next follows a bit more gentle ascent along an again more panoramic section, and then we reach the area of construction of new wind turbines, where we stick to the left direction (at the marked crossing, right Modriach and Großofen); later, we reach a slightly wider road, from which we soon go left towards the nearby mountain hut Freiländerhütte.
From the hut, we return along the access road to a slightly wider road and follow it to the left, then continue straight at two smaller crossroads. A few minutes ahead, we veer slightly right at the self-service bar onto a parallel hiking path and descend slightly. When the path levels out, we soon return to the road and continue along it all the way to the cottage Rehbockhütte.
